Can I use FO3 armor in NV?

Can I just move armor from FO3 to NV and make an esp for it or do I have to convert the mesh?

If your using the vanilla body for New Vegas you MIGHT be able to as they use the same body mesh and engine.

Shouldn't be a problem.  I have done this many times.  The key factor is as Ark talked about the textures matching up.  If it is a male armor then it can be fixed (if it is messed up that is) generally with nifskope buy tweaking the UV. 

 

If it is female then it may be much harder depending on how much skin is showing.
