Creation Kit: Cannot compile any script

I cannot compile any script for two reasons.

  1.  Missing SKSE functions
    1. This was easy to diagnose, though I'm hoping someone can explain it to me.
      1. I downloaded the latest SKSE and extracted it to the correct directory.
      2. When I open the psc files, they are incorrect. I deleted them from the directory, double clicked on them in the 7Zip, verified that they are the correct file, extracted them from 7Z to the correct directory, and, after opening the freshly extracted file again, find that it is incorrect again (ie. missing methods that are contained in the archive).
      3. No matter how many times I overwrote the file or outright deleted it, upon extracting the file, it went from correct (inside the archive) to incorrect (outside the archive). I finally had to manually copy the contents from each file into the incorrect file one-by-one.
  2. "Starting assembly of XXX...Cannot open store for class "XXX", missing file?"

    1.

I don't have any clue what's happening here.

    2. This happens for every, single class, from sexlab classes ("ssl...") to standard CreationKit classes ("Actor" and "ActorBase")

    3. Nothing will successfully compile

    4. I've already verified they are present, formatted, and in the correct folder.

I am using MO2, but it doesn't matter if the scripts are located in the highest priority mod nor if they're directly in the SSE Data folder. I am launching CK through MO2 as admin and am using the CK bug fix mod, also.

Some questions

  1. do you start the CK from within MO2
  2. did you unpack and place the vanilla script at their correct place

?

Yes, I did all that. I've been successfully compiling scripts for months now, and it all of a sudden stopped working. Then it magically started working. I don't know what happened.
