Vinamael Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 I've been trying to get a random password generator to work with OpenOffice Calc. It works fine with Excel, but I don't want to keep going online to use it. I copied everything over into the Calc, but it ends like the screenshot below. It seems that Calc, unlike Excel, isn't "grabbing" the data from the D4-D7 cells. Is there anyone proficient with this software? I looked up the error code and it just has something to do with parenthesis. Maybe it has something to do with the way Calc handles this type of function?  Spoiler Â
hewhocumsbynight Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 I'm not super proficient with Open Office Calc, but I've had my "fun" trying to get functions that work perfectly in Excel to work in Calc. Even doing simple things like pasting cells from Calc to the Open Office writer is a pain in the ass. If you have any other choice, I recommend trying to find a trial or whatever of Excel, or some other alternative. Calc is fine for ledger work and calculation, in my experience, but pretty much ass at everything else.
worik Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 I've done something like that years ago, but can't really remember. What helped me back then, was peek into the templates and samples of others on the OO website. E.g. one like this here : https://templates.openoffice.org/en/template/password-generator
