[REQUEST] Outfit Mod Conversion

Hello.

Scroll to the bottommost of this post...

You need to copy content of the folders, 00 Skeleton Rig,10 Default (and 01 NON FNIS patch if you don't use FNIS) into the data folder (and run FNIS if you use FNIS).

- This definitely fixed the CTD issue on Princess of Flowers, but it brings another problem... just noticed it recently on my playthrough.

Comparison:

UNP = Elenwen's (vanilla High Elf NPC) height taller than my Male Nord character

UNP + XPMS = Elenwen's (vanilla High Elf NPC) height same as my Male Nord character

UNP = Other females (non-High Elf NPC) are adult height (vanilla height)

UNP + XPMS = Other females (non-High Elf NPC) are teenager height (shorter than vanilla height)

Note: I activate "TAI" + "TCAI" (so that they'll stand still) before using the console command to spawn those NPCs.

In advance, this is my alternate solution...

Hello.

Is there any UNP (without the need to use any custom skeletons) outfits that is nature-like or floral (example: Tinker Bell's outfit) design? NO Japanese site please.

Better example:

oak-dryad-outfit06.jpg

Thanks.

Why not?

edit: try deathbell princess?

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/28788/?

- Because I have just downloaded 1 outfit mod from Japanese site, it has already caused me so much problems (refer to my conversations with Groovtama).

I've already tried the Deathbell Princess before, it has a bug on followers. Also, I prefer outfit mod rather than ring mod (I think that's why it's buggy, a ring with an outfit override another outfit).

Edit: To sum it all up, by solving the whole problem. It would be nice if a modder could edit the Princess of Flowers to work with the plain UNP body without the need of any custom skeletons, this method probably is easy if there's a modder willing to do it.

All of those at the top is just what I've been through from just trying to get that outfit mod working, the request is highlighted in red.

Gorgeous outfit.

Yes, it is. But I've gone through so much problems from just trying to use it, especially the torso part. I'm using just a plain UNP body, but too bad the torso part requires a custom skeleton. Which custom skeleton gave me more problems (if you've read what I've wrote), just wish there's a modder willing to convert it to work without any need of custom skeletons.

Posted

Installing the skeleton and 1st person skeleton necessary is far, far less time consuming than loading a mesh in max or blender to removing the dependency. As long as you're just using the vanilla skeleton, you're obviously going to run into a lot more "ctds on equip" with custom armors.

- I'm using plain UNP (no BBP or anything else), which means no custom skeletons. Yes, I've tried using XPMS with plain UNP. Apparently, as you can see on my first post that I ran into more problems. Somehow, plain UNP + XPMS affects the height. So, my only solution is to either find another nature-like or floral outfit mod that works on plain UNP without the need of any custom skeletons OR hoping for a modder to help me out by editing that outfit mod to work with plain UNP without the need of any custom skeletons. Also, this is going to be my first and the last request that I'll ever make. If this can be done, I'll be very much appreciated and won't bother to give any modders trouble again. I really just need this outfit to work on the body (which is the plain UNP) I currently have, that's all.

Note: By "plain" UNP, I meant that as UNP "main".

And since it seems like you're being very picky. Yes I've read your past conversations, it does seem pretty picky. No one will probably do it in the near future.

- Yes, I'm picky. Who doesn't? Besides, I've already tried all the suggestions given and it ran into more problems. I've already stick with the plain UNP body for so long, I don't think I want to change it to others just to use 1 outfit mod. Besides, this is my first and will be my last request that I'll ever make. I really just need for it to work on plain UNP or someone could help me by looking for other nature-like or floral outfit mods, I've searched everywhere and so far this is the only outfit mod suitable that I found.

Well... can't you help me with it? At least I can get out of everyone's hair, then everyone can move on to their happy lives without me bothering anymore.

I'm not a modder. I'm sorry :(

This is the follower I'm having + plain UNP (UNP main) + no BBP + no custom skeletons + Luba Sky Wings.

Nature-like or Floral outfit mod:

- I've tried Princess of Flowers, apparently it need custom skeletons which it affects the height on plain UNP.

- I've tried Elven Nymph, apparently it's the same as Princess of Flowers' issue.

- I've tried Deathbell Princess, apparently the ring mod doesn't override follower's outfit properly[1][2] which it is kind of buggy.

- I've tried Dryad Race's outfit, apparently the lower part/shorts conflict with Luba Sky Wings slot.

From my perspective, it would be easier to try converting the Princess of Flowers to be able to work with the plain UNP without the need of any custom skeletons (since the UNP is already there, just remove the custom skeleton issue restricted on vanilla skeleton). Rather than, tweaking the meshes on Deathbell Princess or Dryad Race's outfit. Which you'll have to make Deathbell Princess out of the ring and tear it down to separate apparel parts OR merging the Dryad Race's top part/shirt with the lower part/shorts, looks like more work. That's why I made a request for the Princess of Flowers out of them all.

P.S.: I hope these explanations make everyone understand what I'm trying to achieve here.

Seeing how you're being overly picky I think you need to learn some modding basics. You could fix all of these problems with very little effort on your part if you wanted to take just a few minutes to learn some creationkit or nifskope basics.

Problems:

  1. I've tried Princess of Flowers, apparently it need custom skeletons which it affects the height on plain UNP.
  2. I've tried Elven Nymph, apparently it's the same as Princess of Flowers' issue.
  3. I've tried Dryad Race's outfit, apparently the lower part/shorts conflict with Luba Sky Wings slot.

How To Fix:

  1. Open the custom skeleton in nifskope and reset each bone to a scale of 1.
  2. See above.
  3. Open up the shorts nif with nifskope click the bsdismembermentskininstance block in the bottom box expand the partitions entry and change the bodypart data to unused value such as 59. The open the creationkit find the armor entry and armor add on entry and chage the slot to the same number you used in nifskope.

I really just need Princess of Flowers to work on plain UNP (UNP main) without the need of any custom skeletons, especially the torso part gave me CTD if I don't have any custom skeletons (which it mess up the height). If it's easy as what you said, why won't you help me to do it then? I'm not a modder, so I don't even know where to begin with. If I'm a modder, I won't even be asking for such a request in the first place. Yes, I'm picky. Because I want the faerie follower to look like it should, but I ran into problems with those outfit mods. This is the one and only request I ever made, already I've been rejected terribly. Like I've said before, all I'm asking is for someone to please help me only on this request and then I won't bother troubling anyone anymore.

let me see if i get this right, you say Princess of Flowers cause cdt's with x32 skelly ?, and you want it to work with stock UNP body and a stock Skelly

i have try this Princess of Flowers on a stock UNP body and a old x32, x117, and on the build in skyrim skelly, quess what all works fine

so i'm not sure what you problem is, for the record i don't run any other mod,

I hope you understand English, right? If you've read everything correctly, you would've known what I've wrote. I said XPMS fix Princess of Flowers' CTD issue, but mess up the height on plain UNP (UNP main). So, my request is that I want Princess of Flowers to work with plain UNP (UNP main) without the need of any custom skeletons (or XPMS). If you've also read what Groovtama has said, he told me that Princess of Flowers need custom skeletons (which he suggested to me XPMS).

Let me put it down simple and easy:

Princess of Flowers + plain UNP (UNP main) + no BBP + vanilla skeleton = Working (this is what I want, in case if you still don't understand)

you now you are a very polite guy, you want it to work learn 3dmax/blender/nifskope and fix it yourself

*sigh*... if I really can learn and fix it myself, I wouldn't even need to start this thread in the first place now would I? So I should go break my head to learn modding stuffs just to make 1 outfit mod work, when there are skilled modders (with all the tools ready) who can help me at finishing it like in a few seconds or minutes? I guess half of the community here aren't as friendly as I thought (it's like you guys are telling me to "f*** off and go do it yourself"), I think I should just change my thread title to "[LECTURE/TEACH ME]" instead of "[REQUEST]". You know what, I give up and I'm done with this. I'm too tired to explain it over and over again any further, soon enough this thread can become a whole essay.
