axpyz Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Is it possible to convert her face from Bioshock, or make face from screenshots via special programs? I think will be beautiful give this face to Vilja.
Myst42 Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 In my experience no one ever listens when you make requests... If you want something done you have to do it yourself But I can give you a few suggestions: - Try to find if there is a way to rip content from bioshock... try a google search with words like "bioshock, 3D model, rip..." - In Oblivion you basically mod things like that with blender and nifskope. But if you can get a model in Blender, thats all you need to be sure your modding is possible Say for instance bioshock encodes model files in rare formats like... i dunno... ".bshk" Normally you are unable to read those files with other program than the game... But ripping is about converting those files into something you can work with. Say 3D models into .mdx, .obj or other model files 3D editor programs can read... same for textures. If you find a way of ripping files into something readable, you can work with that. -The nightmare doesnt end there, it barely even begins, now you have to learn a few things about Blender or another 3D modeling program of choice in order to edit meshes, and tweak them into versions that fit Oblivion behavior, say for example stitching vertexes from the head model's neck with an oblivion body mesh adjusting UV maps... and a bunch of other crap that heads in oblivion need to work. Same with other complexities for a hair mesh. But thats using the exact word you used "convert" My advice: Try making a similar face instead of converting one Step 1: Search for custom races, my personal favorite is "moonshadow elves" on Nexus... probably the best head mesh for Oblivion which is called "head06" Also search for alternate textures if you go down the moonshadow path... the original texures have too much eyeliner You could try Modular Beautiful People (MBP) here at LL but thats a lot harder to install though it comes with moonshadow races an a bunch of others Step 2: Search for a hair that resembles Elizabeth's look... try one of the SKS pack or "FumoFumo Reworked Hair" use that as keywords to conduct search and it should take you to a few posts here at LL too. But probably the best Idea is to look for CCC (Comprehensive Cosmetic Compilation) There is a post in LL that directs to a link containing all the hairs Step 3: Use the Construction Set, learn to do a face in it with the CS face editor, its not hard. Once you are done export it to a save in Oblivion with Wrye Bash, then use the character editor from game to finish tweaking, and then save your finished work Step 4: ??? Step 5: Profit!
astymma Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 You can actually use front and side screenshots of the character to make an importable FaceGen file which can then be applied to a save file or an npc. Modeller link (it saves .fg files which can be used in Oblivion Face Exchange) You can either import/export using .fg facegen files OR copy and paste the hexadecimal facedata directly into tes4edit into the NPC's record.
