What Quest Mods for an Unholy Darkness Vampire?

Old Book

Recommended Posts

Planning another run through oblivion, mostly to play Claudia's Little Secret and Sexy Maid of Chorrol. I'll be making this run as an Unholy Darkness Vampire. I've already completed the short UD quest, and it is a fun mod (makes playing a vampire actually interesting), but I'd like to do a bit more that feels Vampire specific.

So, what quest mods do you suggest for an Unholy Darkness Vampire? House or companion mods are fine too. Don't know any mods that make for fun Vampire questing? What about Necromancer quests?

How would you Vamp it up?

There is a Mod out there wher You can join the Vampires of House Serentin!

StarX Vanilla Vampires Revised b2.6

Short description:

This mod changes the vampires in TES4:Oblivion, making them really dangerous and adding a background story. The player can join the Vampires of House Serentin or join the Vampire Hunters Guild. It also adds tons of new items, spells, a new deadsequence, new eyes and makes vampires more beautiful in general. Most of the vampire dungeons have received an overhaul to make them look like vampire lairs instead of average dungeons.

Have not seen any other mods where you can do quests as a Vampire, Now Morrowind had a Lot of them!

There are a Lot of Quest Mods to Kill Vampires But allmost None to play a Vampire!

I noticed this one the other day: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=40485 Now, I don't know if it will play nice with Unholy Darkness, but I will find out and let you know. I loved playing Vampire Redemption years ago and played through Vampire Masquerade when it came out. I felt it a shame that it was released in such a buggy and unfinished state but sill found it enjoyable. I wish that someone would release a game in that "world" that was more free form in nature. Anyway, I'll give it a try and see what happens. I think Clan Tremere would work quite well in Tamriel.

I was at GenCon when Vampire first came out. Picked up a copy and loved Timothy Bradstreet's art. Incredible stuff. The writing was OK, but I was already playing a game (Nightlife) with what was then a much more complete version of a similar setting. Later, the game grew and changed. Never liked the rules system, but the art and layout were pure perfection.

Awwww. With all due respect though, GSB, I thought Clan Tremere too po-faced for my liking and tended to go for Malkavian or Bruja. The former for the wonderful "out there" dialogue options, the latter matched my heretic heart quite well. Mind you, it could be 'cos I've known too many self-styled Kabbalists in RL.

Old Book: Never head of Nightlife. Have I missed out on a good game? Darn!

Nightlife came out 3-4 years before Vampire, and was basically the same Horror World setting but played for over the top violence and comedy. You were part of an underground society of monsters (Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies, Ghosts, Succubi, Golems, etc) much like Vampires in the Masquerade. Humans had Sorcerers, and many of the Kindred (especially Werewolves and Ghosts) remained loyal to their Human side. Lovecraftian Horrors were out there as well. There was a tentative peace between many factions, from Vampire Supremacists to Sorcerous Cabals to government agencies with Monster Squads.

I always thought it was more fun than Vampire, but Vampire undeniably had better production values, and appealing to the Goth crowd drew in a much bigger audience than Nightlife ever could.
