[FIXED] Dragon soul burns properly, but it goes away in the wrong direction and doesn't give it to me

This is the most outrageous and unprecedented bug I've ever seen when it comes to dragon souls absorption. Basically what the title says. Dragon souls just goes up and away with the absorbing FX going in the wrong direction (should be directed towards you, right?) I can't find a culprit. I tried disabling every dragon related mod. Well, Skyrim Unbound Reborn looks kinda fishy tho, but not too sure. Any help will be appreciated!

The only person that can steal souls is miraak. Wonder if this bug does not somehow relate to him. Have you started the dragonborn questline yet ?

I had the same idea. Bu for that to happen you had to progress quite a bit through the dragonbrn questline. Usually an image of Miraak appears then and he also says something when that happens.

Never started nor visited any Dragonborn-related quests/locations in my current playthrough, and as you can see in the video my character is seriously undergeared for that. Plus I use Timing Is Everything which makes Dragonborn to start after level 25, so there's no way he'd appear out of nowhere in the middle of Skyrim to steal a dragon soul that early in the game.

 

The dragon souls go in the opposite direction every single time I kill dragon. Even Miraak has 25% chance, so I highly doubt he's somehow in there.

Thank you for the suggestion but I found the culprit. It wasn't me accidentally nudging Miraak in a wrong way or anything, but it was Dragon War - Skyrim Unbound Reborn patch. It was one of the last ones on my list to opt out because, you know, it's supposed to be a compatibility patch. Simply disabling this patch enabled dragon soul absorption to work properly again... Geez. I reported the bug on Dragon War's Nexus page. Thanks again for trying to help.
