Ikaros Androids

So i've been thinking for a while now, but has anyone ever tried to collab, or make some mods to work with Ikaros at all?  Like i can see alot of potential with this mod and a few other mods,  specially for some clothing replacers an armor replacer, even to function with AAF, if it doesn't do so already. but the list i came up with could be something like this.

AAF,
Ikaros,
Fusion girl,
Honest Abe's Armor replacer,
Absolutly Skimpy Attire, [except maybe as a replacer or simply add the clothing pieces to the leveled list's in game instead of crafting each one]
Lazman's Vanilla Female Clothing Replacer.
OCBPC, Collision and Physics,,

I can only imagine the amount of work a Modder might end up having to go through to make such a thing work, but hell. After using each of these mods and learning Ikaros, doesn't function with really any of them well, I can only speculate the concept. Specially since I'm far from being a Modder, lol I can't even bash a simple few mod's together without breaking my game, which usually requires me to back everything back up and start again XD

So I leave this topic here for everyone to consider.

Ikaros does function with AAF with a simple patch, there is fusiongirl for ikaros included in the fomod installer, and OCBP/C does work with a simple .ini file edit.

As for clothing mods, it's pretty easy to replace the human FG bodies to Ikaros bodies using outfit studio.

-In bodyslide, choose and build the Ikaros-FG body

-Edit the OCBP.ini file to include Ikaros (a guide is located in the nexus page of ikaros)

-A guide on how to create clothing for ikaros is available on it's discord server (you need basic knowledge on how to use bodyslide, more spefically; outfit studio)

 

It all works on my current mod setup.

i unfortunately can only manage to use the batch build function of bodyslide, i've tried to follow the guide before and only managed to give up after getting lost. i've no idea how to edit the OCBP, as i said i'm no modder and i lack the base knowledge to mess with it besides building a body and batch building the armor/clothing.

It's an ini file, you'd edit it with a program like notepad++.

 

In the ocbp ini you'll find a section named "[whitelist]"  you just need to add "IKAROSRace:female" to the end of each of the lines in that section, like this:

 

LBreast_skin=HumanRace:female,GhoulRace:female,IKAROSRace:female

 

Then repeat for every line.

Well you can go here for a whole lot of Outfit Bodyslides for IKAROS Androids, 

 

Sorry if Atomic Beauty is not your thing, but its what I use and its what I am making sliders for.

About 2 and half weeks of constant work already in just those Outfits provided so far, not talking 40 hour work weeks more like wake up, work till I fall asleep at computer for 20 days.

Thats with everything going actually very quickly as well, I dont have to think real hard about how to tackle odd situations with outfits in Bodyslide since I've done somewhere around 8,000-10,000 of these for Skyrim.

 

My main thing about doing these is well, I want to play some Fallout 4....BUT I cant find slider sets on the internet that meet my standards, sorry but after you've worked on as many as I have you actually start to really gripe about Triple A games like Witcher Series not having good enough non-clipping outfits and well done weight paints.  Thats coming from someone that actually has played all the Witcher games some multiple times.  So I intend that the slider sets work well and that the outfits look good enough for me in my own playthrough.  And yes, I already looked at the slider sets for every single available body and found that none of them save a small handful would satisfy some of our Skyrim modders, sorry but in Skyrim almost all the Bodyslides are just top notch work, it just is not that way in Fallout 4 unless you use a preset that is near unchanged from baseline.  In Skyrim modding scene that would not even fly.

If you are good at os, it will not be difficult for you to make any sliders in any quantity. I use slider sets from cbbe and fg for compatibility sake and have made many of my own. You can reproduce any morph very easily. We clicked "new slider", clicked on the new slider on the pencil in the list of sliders and sculpt. You can sculpt morphs from third-party meshes such as Genesis, or bodies from other games. Assign a bright material to them and copy the shapes on your mesh into the sliders. Smoothed out, saved the project. This way you can achieve the shape you want and use it as a playing body...

Come back when you have a body of work that is significant in size.

Come back after you have poured 400 or more hours of your life into something that you then give out for free and provide free support for.

Come back after you have been abused, spit on, raked over the coals of life for having done something that is meant to be fun for another person.

Come back after you have had a body of work worth thousands of your life hours stolen from you by a website you really loved.

Come back after your work is said to not be yours but belong to said site.

Come back after you have given and gave.

Come back to me after one of the communities you helped built gives you the boot.

When 1/2 the PC Skyrim player base still uses your mod.

When most the people that have played XBOX version you meet have played your mod.

After you have bent over backwards to bring joy into someone else life with no prospect of recompense.

 

Come back to me then and tell me what you think.

 

Until then you have no proper appreciation of what it is like to be a mod author in the face of Youtube mod users that make enough bank to purchase houses off your hobby of creating something fun for someone else for free.

 

Tell me then that your not bitter, or hard, that you would do it all again to bring another smile to a face of a person you will never meet.

My older brother, whom I tried to contact even talk too

 

He called me about 12 months ago, I had not heard from him in 10 years.

 

Now just after I dont know 5 minutes of smoothing over the past he's raving about how amazing playing Skyrim is.  That it has all these insane modifications called mods that people have authored.  That I would be crazy about a mod called the Book of UUNP.

 

My brother called me after 10 years, had not heard from my big bro for a decade and he is telling me that he loves a mod called "The Book of UUNP."

He is telling me he loves my mod, that I poured over a year of my free time into after school and work.

He starts telling me about his other favorite mods and even has their names memorized.

 

And I tell him I know those people, we hang out, we've talked to one another, I helped that guy or that gal helped me out on a mod I was building.

 

Ya so a lot of friends and family from way back in my highschool days...They have used stuff I have made for gaming and have used a lot of my current friends mods.

um ... If something doesn't make money, if you do it for fun, then it's probably a hobby. I think the work of a lifetime that the villains stole cannot be a hobby? I made hundreds of animated models in a few months, and I don't even post them anywhere. I don't care about them. I am interested in making them and checking how they work in the game. Experiment and learn. What will happen with these models next is absolutely indifferent to me. I don't equate hobbies with work. It's fun. Therefore, I do not understand you.

Then you dont understand over half of the producing mod community.

You in no way understand a thing I have said yet you go out of your way to be offensive.

So what is the purpose of what you said?

You are the guy that walks into the art gallery,

 

See's two painters ripping into each others work and then thinks its your place to jump in.

 

The two painters then rip into you taking serious offense.

 

You then claim you have work at home...That you would never allow out in public and then think that makes you the same as the two painters.

 

Meanwhile your wife never wants to go back to the gallery with you again.

In all fairness a lot of moderators dont understand this about the painters, that those painters are mod authors and that iron sharpens iron.

I just don't understand what all this abstract reasoning is for and why so many complaints have been written to me in response to the innocent advice to make my own sliders. You said that you don't like the sliders in fo4, I advised you to use your own. It ended with ranting about artists and wives, loss and suffering.

Nothing about what they said was offensive. The only thing that *could* have been misconstrued was "If you are good at os, it will not be difficult for you to make any sliders in any quantity", which wasn't them questioning your skill, or even challenging it; they were merely stating that if you have a decent amount of experience with OS, it's quite easy to crank them out fairly quickly. Nobody is questioning your work, don't take it so hard.

The holorape is in the Ikaros hub, you have to activate a button to get there. Which is in vault 111, near where you find the pipboy.
