Ideas for predicament riddles/challenges?

Heyho,

I currently play with the idea of a DD themed escape game mod (won't be anytime soon though)

Basically, the idea is based on the classic Escape Room games with a kinky twist: either you perform a tedious/finical task or you choose to humiliat yourself.

As ideas: either you search the key for the room door in many different containers or you put on an armbinder which opens the door.

Either you solve a tricky riddle or you put on some boots.

The consequences should show later during the Escape run: when you put on the armbinder you can't take the torch anymore to find the way in a pitch black labyrinth.

Or when wearing the armbinder you can't use the pickaxe to open a shortcut which avoids something nasty.

When you've put on the boots, you can't jump far enough and fall into a pit full of horny wolves/trolls/sth like that.

Do you have more ideas for something like that, that are feasible to build in Skyrim?

I like this idea but I'd be tempted to switch up your approach: Having the "better" ending be a boring one with no kink means either doing well or enjoying what the mod is trying to do. How about instead aiming to make it such that progress is going to depend on some of the kinky twists.

Examples:

A room contains a collection of DD, while in the room you can put them on or take them off but while outside of the room they're locked. A short corridor has some traps, maybe a combat, and ends in a door. By the door is a clue as to some combination of items, approaching the door wearing those items opens it - otherwise you need to backtrack to grab a different combo.

You need to make three guardians cum to get past their room. They have different kinks and can be asked about each other, but one lies, one tells the truth and one does both. Wearing the right stuff and doing the right sex acts gets you through the room, but anything you put on you can't take off so you can leave yourself in better or worse state for the next room by figuring it out quickly.

A room contains four enemies to fight, each one has a different associated device, when they're defeated the device is equipped. Killing the armbinder one last makes it much more likely you'll win the fights, but it's also the glass cannon enemy that'd usually be the best choice to kill first.

A room contains three witches who can each remove one of your items (The mod won't work if every room adds more, it'll become unplayable after a few rooms) but doing so requires you to accept a curse delivered via a sex act. The curses are in-game curses (affecting magicka regen or max hp or whatever) forcing a trade off between removing devices that hamper combat encounters and avoiding stacking too many curses and making them impossible a different way.

...and so on

Not a bad idea in general, but I'm not that convinced about some of the examples, as I'd like to avoid active fighting as much as possible. Or at least always give the choice. There are enough Vanilla and mod added dungeon crawls where you simply bash your way from one end to the other.

Additionally, I'd try to tackle the actual living person in front of the screen rather than the avatar PC. So, either you as player decide to do a long, boring and tedious search for a key or you bind your avatar up which then leads to more difficulties for THE PLAYER (not the avatar) later on (eg finding your way in a dark labyrinth blindfolded)

So the idea with the three guys, where you have to determine who lies and who not is not bad.

I had the idea where you either can take up some silly weapon (eg a shiv, or a spoon) or you lock yourself in some contraption. Whatever you do, afterwards some guys enter the room, either you fight them with the spoon or they take advantage of the helpless PC.

And I really like the idea where you need to determine the combination of DD items for the door to open! Still, that one needs an alternative, as ONLY trying to struggle free from bindings gets boring soon, too.

How about a magic themed riddle that will be unsolvable when you are equipped with armbinder/plugs/piercings which forbid magic usage. When the PC is unable to solve this or any other riddle they will either need to go through some kind of punishment/humiliation to proceed or they have to cancel the trial completely, the choice should always be up to the player. If they decide to resign the trial they should also be faced with some kind of punishment, on which they have agreed before the trial. That way the Player can pick their poison, but they will never be force to anything and will always know the risk that is involved. In short, the player needs to agree to a punishment if they fail, in order to access the trial.

About the 'Magic' riddle:

it could be solved by attacking certain trigger spots with matching elements. For example:

  • utilize a fire spell to get rid of veins blocking the path
  • activate some dwemer machinery by striking it with lighting spells, the machine then opens a door or lets a bridge down
  • freeze some water that is filled with hungry fish waiting for their meal, in order to pass to the other side

These are just some ideas that came to mind. Ofcourse there are many more ways to utilize magic in an escape room then just these few. I am really looking forward to this idea, it reminded me of the 'whip and chain inn' from Deviously cursed loot, which got added recently. It is fun for a while but gets rather boring with time as it is always the same procedure.

This is why i see a lot of potential in your amazing idea, keep it up ?.

Well, currently I just gather ideas, I don't have that much free time lately.

So, the mod will hopefully come eventually, but definitely not soon and most probably next year at the earliest.

But the idea of utilizing magic as necessity is great, as well as the need to agree to a fixed outcome when cancelling the trial
