Can mod followers be safely cloned using place at me command?

I'm aware that place at me can cause glitches and break quests in game, never used it in normal playthrough, but can it be done at simple followers from mods that doesn't have quest tied to them? given that I kill the duplicates right after cloning, will that affect the original followers?

No.

99.99999% of cases Followers are unique actors.

PlaceAtMe will duplicate the actor.

And probably they have scripts that are not supposed to run in parallel copies.

Ok, to be on the save site, spawn and test but make a save before.

I never tought about this, as I load always a save then again.

CPU is right, risk to mess up something is to high.

I was wrong.

You can use:

prid <reference id of the actor>

  moveto player

But you need to know the reference ID (it is not the base id) but usually you can find it with the help command and the name of the actor.

I'm using Pama´s Permanent Crucifixes it seems it requires the npc to be eventually killed and I don't want to sacrifice my followers, that's why I wanted to know if I can safety copy them, since that's a no I'll just get more npc mods now

In this case, you can try to "duplicate" a follower (better if not too much scripted) and use it for this purpose.

But it will be hard to check who is the duplicate and who is the original.

Ah thanks, I actually don't mind the original act all bugged out, in fact I'll probably kill the original too, I just want to know if it can damage my save in any other way
