Coat for skyrim

can someone seperate the coat from the armor 

 

 

or does any anyone know some coat similar to this

I'd just like to point out for future reference that providing a working link to the mod would go a long way to getting it done considering not all of us would have this mod and without it we have no way to look at the nifs to see if what you are asking is even possible

how about some mods similar to to this coat w/o the armor 

 

or can someone make a coat since there are no coats similar to this in skyrim mods

Actually the coat can be removed in the Nif file so it is possible to make the coat Separate.

I'm going to test it to see if I can I admit I'm not as experienced with Nifskope and CK as others on LL.

 

Edit I still need to tweak it some more and set it up so it can be crafted at the forge but I have gotten it off the main body and set as a separate item.

Mind you I didn't think that skimpy outfit qualified as armor

Edit I still need to tweak it some more and set it up so it can be crafted at the forge but I have gotten it off the main body and set as a separate item.

I'm going to need some help from a member who is more experienced with CK. I can get the armor to show up in game and craft able. However, I can't seem to get it so it doesn't replace your chest armor.

the coat was using the same slot as the armor(32=body) to get it working you have to change the slot in the nif files(58 this time) and change it in CK to

while wearing the coat without the armor it show some burnt texture can you try to  dont wear any armor then wear that coat

I'm looking at the new nif and I don't see anything pointing to Astrid's burnt body

LOL, Now I feel stupid I forgot to expand the textures tab.

Edit: I'll work on it sometime tonight when it cools off it's WAY to hot to mess with Nifs atm....10:00 AM and already 80 °F 27 °C for those that use Celsius and not Fahrenheit.

I'm really interested in this as well, I actually searched and found this forum because of how much I loved the coat. Please do post if you are able to fix it. Skyrim needs more coats!
