Skywalker Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 So I'm trying to figure out how some people get a motion tracking effect as well as what people use for advanced camera movement. Examples of what I'm talking about can be seen in videos on most of this person's Redgifs profile: (NSFW) https://www.redgifs.com/users/glimic . I'm hoping that it's some cool camera mod that I can't find. It's entirely possible it's just adobe aftereffects editing with usage of the mod called Camera Scripter (mod link: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/79041/). As far as I know, Camera scripter is just good for smoothing out free cam movement from point A to point B. If it's not a mod that people use, then I would like to know what it is so I don't try to replicate it in a worse or harder way.
Mister X Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 Oh, that's the first time I've heard of Camera Scripter! It's a shame nothing like that has been made for SE yet That would be very cool for some nice machinimas ...
Skywalker Posted July 21, 2021 Author Posted July 21, 2021 I found that Poser Hotkeys Plus has a "Lock-on Camera Plugin" made by Felisky. It allows the camera to track selected bones during a pose but seems to only be able to select actors that are posing from the mod and not from anything else like pose rings or sexlab for instance. It would be good to know if there was a standalone version of this camera plugin that can target actors freely. I haven't found anything else except people claiming to have made tools for bone tracking in this thread: In the meantime, I'm going to look into if I can make a standalone thing or a patch for the hotkeys mod or something.
Skywalker Posted July 22, 2021 Author Posted July 22, 2021 So I can't seem to do much with the poser hotkey plus scripts in creation kit. I think it's because the files are in Japanese? It's throwing errors at me. I've done a bit of editing for myself in creation kit in the past so I'm not a complete noob and I can edit other scripts just fine. I threw out single comment asks about a simple option or patch to the mod authors but am not really expecting replies. It doesn't hurt to try though. I guess I'll try and learn more about scripting for skyrim. Although, again it would be helpful if someone pointed out how dumb I am and how easy this really is. I just don't really like using the creation kit. I'd say it's worse than using Adobe products.
Skywalker Posted August 8, 2021 Author Posted August 8, 2021 So a lovely person informed me that you can get around Poser Hotkeys Plus's posing restriction by starting a pose, then starting another animation. It's a simple workaround but gets the job done. Just thought I'd let others know if they were overthinking it like I was.
