Lovers Needs OBSE to Run

I have the OBSE, and I have tried everything to get it to run, but apparently it is not because everytime I start up Oblivion, I get the same message about Lovers needing OBSE to run while I'm playing.  Please, someone help.

Where did you install OBSE to? The full path please.

 

Plus we need your load order as well.

Have you started Oblivion via the normal shortcut or via "OBSE_loader.exe"? OBSE doesn't work if you don't start it via "OBSE_loader.exe".

If you are running the Steam version of oblivion then you don't run the Obse_loader.exe, instead you need to read the instructions for steam installations that is found in the readme.txt of the OBSE v20 archive file you downloaded.

 

Now if you are running the disc version of Oblivion then as Someone92 stated you MUST start the game with the OBSE_loader.exe file.

I am running the steam version, but everytime I run oblivion the same message appears.  It is installed under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion  and what do you mean by load order?

First off if you installed steam to the default location (what you listed is the default location) AND are running Vista, Win7 or Win8 then you could be fighting a losing battle with UAC and permissions issues.  No game you ever want to mod should EVER be in the program files directory.

I recommend something like C:\Games\Steam or even installing it to another drive if you have one free.

 

With the steam version you MUST read the obse_readme.txt file and follow the special instructions that are listed there.  You can NOT run the obse_loader.exe and you can NOT install the 4gb patch either.  If you follow the steam version instructions obse will work just fine.  The instructions are clear and easy to follow.

1. You are missing one of the core files:  Lovers with PK base pack: http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/3-lovers-with-pk/

The core files (Resource Pack and Base Pack) don't really do anything.  They are the framework and not much more.  You need to download things like RaperS (combat rapes) or Joburg (stalkers) or AdultplayPlusSSP (consenual sex) or Lovers Creatures (creature sex).  There are many other plugins that do many different things.  You'll need to read the OP for each plugin to see what it does, how it works and if you want it.

For a bare bones trial I suggest you install a RaperS and then a stalker plugin.

There is nothing on the Nexus that costs money that I have ever heard of.  Provide a link if that is not true.
