Trying to get animations to play through Skyrim SE using Framework, SLAL, and SLTools, but actors just Cronenberg together and stand there

I've run FNIS, made sure the animations are registered, I seem to have everything set up and installed correctly, but the animations simply don't play. I use SL Tools SE Patched to select actors, select play animation, and the two individuals just clips together in the exact same place. Sometimes one just vanishes. Clothing is removed, but that's it.

I have double and triple checked that the .ini is configured properly through MO2, restarted my PC several times, and made nearly a dozen attempts to play animations, but no debug log - or even a corresponding folder - is generated where the FAQ said it would be. And yes, I've made sure the Papyrus extension is installed.

Any debug messages in console?

There doesn't appear to be, but if there was I might not know it if I saw it. So, here's what I get in the console. At this point I'm anticipating my problem to be something stupidly simple that I in no way should have overlooked.

Try SLMatchmaker instead of SLTools; I vaguely remember also having issues with SLTools way back (thus am currently using SLMM). The LE version works fine for SE, the .esp just gives you the form 43 warning which you can just ignore or fix yourself.

try deleting "Data\meshes\actors\character\behaviors\0_master.hkx" and re-running FNIS again, that sometimes helps.

8. you may need to reload the animations, go to the Animation Loader's MCM and then:
8.1. click on the "Disable All" button.
8.2. click on "Rebuild Animation Registry", then Wait for the message to pop up*.
8.3. click on "Reload JSON".
8.4. click on "Enable All".
8.5. click on "Count Animations" and make sure nothing is over 750, turn off some animations if they are.
8.6. click on "Register Animations", then Wait for the message to pop up*.
*if you like you can press "~" on your keyboard to open the console so you can watch it Register everything, just make sure you close it before you try to click on anything.
