CTD on load saved game

Hi,

 

I have some problems since two days. I can't load a saved game. I test it 10 times and only two times the game starts normaly. I'm a litte bit afraid.

Maybe it's a problem with the mods but it worked all good.

I've start a new game, save it, load it and it crashs.

 

I can't find the error and don't want to play without mods.

I use the nexus Mod Manager to integrate and sort Mods. After the frustration I installed BOSS but that was not the solution for my problem but maybe someone can see something relevant.

I don't know this log. After a short search with google I have activated it in the Skyrim.ini and  I have some input now.

 

The best help is to help somebody to help himself :)

Papyrus logs only show which mods were running when the crash occurred and doesn't necessarily mean that that mod caused the crash.
Start a new game or use an old clean save with no mods and once that's loaded then load your "broken" save from inside skyrim.

it is often the last one that was running that made the crash tho, also Papyrus logs errors

 

Sometimes but not always which is why a lot of modders get flack for things that have nothing to do with them. On my last set up I was having ctds with a blank log, nothing going on all due to hitting the 3.1 gb limit.

 

e.g. Frostfall gives errors and this is perfectly normal.

This part is a proper error :

But as it happened during the frostfall errors you would mistakenly think it was to do with frostfall.

 

I'm not saying don't use the papyrus logs just bear in mind it might have nothing to do with the actual problems you're facing.

 

Since he didn't use boss from the start and only just used it to try to fix the problem he's probably making it worse as the save game still uses all the mods but now they're in a different order due to boss it can compound as different values are now being overwritten due to the new load order.

 

The fact that he hasn't even followed the instructions in the boss log and cleaned the files means something was screwed from the start but with such a small amount of mods I'm thinking it's probably also related to pc specs.

intressting. Papyrus say that he don't find things from Dawnguard. ..yeah because I deactivatet it. For 4-5 hours the load was no problem and save also...but the error returns now^^

Damn, when I save a game without dawnguard why he tries to load the contant..where does that game save that information

Found something strange too.

FNIS has a path to c: ..but the game is on an other partition as you can see..why he needs the path on c:?

You have two cloaks esps when you should only have one for a start. It says it in the boss log.

1. remove one of the cloaks esps (use "cloaks.esp" if you want everyone to use the cloaks or "cloaks - player only.esp" if you only want your character to use the cloaks)

2. follow instructions on boss and clean the files using tesvedit

3. get the unofficial skyrim and dawnguard patches

 

Since you've used this saved game with an incorrect load order and the double cloaks esps there's no guarantees that this hasn't already broken your save game. Even following the above instructions might not fix it in the long run.

It's also best to pick up Wrye Bash for mod usage and organization; NMM is used for downloading and installation.

Many Programs..BOSS, Tes5edit, Wrye Bash, NMM..

Morrowind was easier to mod^^

 

I will make myself more familiar with the programs.

First thing CTD without mod is skeleton or Mesh problem !!
Second thing is the mod that had script messing around with your save game !!
Such as Sound Of Skyrim or something, not only messing with your save game it's make your save game bloating !!
Sollution is LOAD YOUR BACKUP FILES !!
