Question: How do you make your own load screens?

I've tried looking around but with no success. I even downloaded a few custom loading screen mods but I'm still unsure how to make my own.

Has anyone done this before? Or does anyone know any good tutorials?

You are talking about loading screens and not the first screen when you launch skyrim right?

You will need to create a 3D object/scene using 3DSMAX / nifskope, save it as a nif file and then you will need to edit the flash that handles the loading screens to load yours (I assume there are links to several nif files in there), it was discussed before and as much as I understood nobody was really interested in making full 3D models just for loading screens, but if you have the patience I am pretty sure many people will be interested to use them :)

It may even be possible to import an existing 3D model and convert it to a nif file, maybe some of the awesome guys making animations here could tell you more, thats sadly as far as my knowledge goes :)

Wow, I didn't expect it to be that difficult.

Thanks :)

That might explain why there are no loading screen with the characters wearing skimpy or sexy vanilla armor. I've noted that texture replacers will change the textures on the clothes/armors on load-up screens, but mesh replacers won't. I've always wondered why there wasn't a fix for it.

im working on this and have at least 20 loadscreens ready, but im not sure how to get

1. permissions for modded assets

2. should it be a replacer of curent loadscreens or complet new set- have both types now

3. get rid of the- Assert File: C:\_Skyrim\Code\TESV\BSShader\Shaders\BSLightingShaderProperty.cpp-in CK which i can ignore and game seems fine but anyhow...

3. a forum thead?

im not sure if it was a request or what...

Yes, it was a request by someone a little while ago. He was too wondering about skimpy armor loading screens. Going to follow this thread (or the new one, if you start one yourself), seem like a wonderful idea :D Also, the pics look great, good job making them.

I personally wont have too much time to look at the loading screens since I have a SSD but before that it was quite long to wait for loadings, especially when fast travelling to city areas with ENB on so I think the fact they put 3D models that you can turn, zoom etc is a great idea.

Of course it is much more painful to replace....
