Troubleshooting CTD on Load

Hey there, I recently switched to SSE in order to make a fresh, durable(at least for skyrim) SL game or whatever. I followed Aylis's mod order roughly - I didn't really value a whole of the natural graphic overhauls and whatever, so I only installed the basic stuff thinking my PC is probably weaker than her's anyway so I should cut corners while I can.  I also cut out Nemesis-related things for simplicity since I've struggled forever in getting something consistently running.

 

It kept booting fine as I layered on more and more mods, holding back SL stuff beyond stuff that needed it to run(SL is tied to some animations I think) - and it ran with that. But once i got to the meat of the SL mods, that's when the CTDs started. Really instant ones. Like, 3 seconds, maybe see the silver logo thing, then boof. I tried to trim back a lot of stuff, and still no progress on load. My modlist is only about 150~ at most. SL ones are heavy but I dunno if that's THE problem.

One thing I'm definitely confused on is how to used the bashed patch. Where to put it, do I disable what was in it?

 

Vortex labels a lot of the files as 'LE' mods, but they were marked here as SSE so I'm figuring it's mostly just being pendantic about a setting not being in the right place? Most of my other reading says it's fine. I've ran it through both MO2 and Vortex for troubleshooting and got nothing. I'm doubting it's a missing master since neither picked up ont hat.

 

I feel like I'm missing something incredibly obvious here. Is there an easy way to detect if it is too much for my system to handle? I have a decent setup from 2015, unupdated since then, the only time Skyrim(at least LE) made me chug was trying to use ENB which I didn't choose to use this time.

First things first, because you're using High Poly Head, you should start there to make sure you can get into game without CTD.

 

If you're going for HDT SMP the order of install is:

 

HDT SMP

Your body 

Collisions

 

This is on the left side of MO2 and right side as well.

 

Second, what's with all the plugins labelled Overwrite?

 

You have to sort your load order, LOOT works good, or at least the sort button in MO2.

 

Lastly, where did Bashed, 0.esp come from? (it should be created for your FINISHED load order) and typically last to load (lowest)
