Posible issue with Alternate start -Skyrim LE

Hello, so recently i was playing normally skyrim and add some mods for improve some textures and some gameplay.

The thing  is I started to plat with the mod Alternate start and works very fine with my three characters that i created( no cdt at all), but recently when i 

tried to create a new one and I had a lot of CDT's when i start to the mod Alternate start, for example:

 

Firts of all I tried to begin on the woods, the game is fluent and work well, but when i try to go to the cave in helgen to talk to Hardvar after readen the journal of the mod, the game crash.

I tried to clean the masters, save cleaner too and nothing change, still crashing.

 

I tried to another scenario of alternate start like escape from the prison, so i tried to escape and then again the game crash when tried to load the exterior.

So i try a lot of things to fix the issue but nothing.

So i would be so grateful if someone can help me with this problem.

Are you using a mod manager? 

 

Have you run anything to help sort your mods like Loot? 

 

Note that the Loot program isn't perfect, it is also necessary to read through each mod description to see if a different load order should be followed.  For example, the Skysan_ELFX_SMIM_Fix.esp patch needs to be loaded after all of the ELFX mods, and I notice that Exteriors is loading after it according to the list above if that is indicative of the current load order.  Also I've noticed that Loot puts ELFX towards the top, and I've found recently that, for me at least, loading them near the very bottom works incredibly better.  But running Loot is at least a starting point that can help.

 

Have you taken a look at any stability guides like this one?

 

I would hazard a guess that the crashing is not limited to Alternate Start since it wasn't exactly reproduced.  You could try using a different start method like Unbound Reborn instead (disable alternate start) and see if it still crashes.  But it would probably be best to ensure the load order is sufficient and you have some stability fixes first.

If that's your Load Order, no wonder it's crashing. I don't understand much of how and why, but at least you need to have all .esm before any .esp

Maybe this isn't fixing things... also, as others posted - use MO and LOOT and choose your mods wisely. And Alternate start is not causing the crash.

Those esps will be flagged as esms and will consequently appear up there with the esms.

 

I would guess that the OP is using LOOT and a mod manager. I would ask whether the OP is using the stability tools.

1.Yes, @Marg597 i use loot constantly in order to organize my mods but sorry about the order it seams i copy the order when i tried to moving thing for encounter the issue so i will posted the load order after using loot.

2. I use nexus mod manager for store and manage my mods.

3. @Marg597 it is safe to test the unbound mod , besides i have three order characters that i started with alternate start, with these characters i advanced part of the DB main quest so it would be safe to test or i should forget these characters and test with new one if unbound works?

Unbound is a replacement for the Alternate Start mod and should only be used for a brand new character.  I really don't think that's going to resolve the crashing though. 

 

Have you tried "Crash Fixes" with OS Allocators enabled?  This is detailed in the guide I linked before.

 

I would recommend your ELFX mods be loaded in this order and at the bottom:

 

EnhancedLightsandFX
ELFX - Exteriors
ELFXEnhancer.esp
Skysan_ELFX_SMIM_Fix.esp

ELFX Fixes.esp

 

It's good that you are using Loot but as you can see just looking at the lighting mods, it does not sort things perfectly and so there can still be issues with load order.

 

1. Read through all your mods description pages (and posts from other players if you have the patience) , check for incompatibilities noted  with other mods

2. While doing this, note any specifics with load order mentioned in the description pages

3. Adjust load order accordingly, Disable incompatible mods

4. Ensure you have installed some stability improvements like Crash Fixes, Memory patch, safety load etc.

5. Then try and play a fresh character, but make sure there are no saves still in your save folder before you start (you can move them somewhere else to back up if you want)

6. If you still get crashing after all that, then it's time to narrow down what the culprit is especially if the crash is reproducible, i.e. looting a specific object, wearing specific armor etc.

7. To troubleshoot mods from there, you would want to only enable a few mods to get started, maybe 10 at a time.  Play a new character with 10 mods, see if it crashes.  Keep adding 10-20 mods at a time and repeat the process, making note of which mods you are enabling for the test.  Once you start getting the same crash happening, then you can take a look at the group of mods you just enabled and narrow it down from there.

 

Yes it is a ton of work, but these are the types of things that are needed to get the game working with some semblance of stability.

@Marg597 Thanks for all the tips,yes like you said is a ton of work but with a first step of what i have to do maybe i will resolve the issue.

So if i resolve the problem i will posted what was the issue.

The thing about the game is very unique because i still can play with my older characters and the game works fine but the thing is when i started a new game, maybe some mod had a conflict with alternate start or the CDT maybe will happen on my old games but not happened yet.

Finally, if you have any other recomendation of load order, i'll really apreciate a lot. Thank you.
