The raids have been completely overhauled, lots of work on the proclamations and a ton of small details behind the scene. On top of that, my lovely wife has been hard at work for us! Delivering almost all the remaining CGs. I didn’t have time to remake the tutorial for the raids so I’ll put a quick explanation here: - You’ll get 6 random raids every turn. - In each raid, you’ll get a random number of bars to put troops in and each of those bars will have a random attack requirement to win. (scaled by monster difficulty) - Simply match or overshoot the number on each bar, by placing units in, to win that raid. - The scouting bar is for discovering terrains. Each fight has 1 to 6 hidden terrains. Those terrains are chosen from 8 different kinds. 4 good ones and 4 bad ones. Placing a unit on one of those terrains will activate it, whether it is hidden or scouted so be careful! - After you are done placing units, leave the raid screen, finish your turn and in the result screens, you’ll get the results of your raids. That’s the rough and dirty lowdown. I’m sure that when you guys see it, you’ll get the gist of it instantly. I wanted this build to be the last one but redoing the raids took longer than I thought it would. I’m going to work more on finishing the rest of my notes this month. I could still work on it for months as there’s always things I would like to add or move around but it’s at a great place right now. I changed some numbers around to remove some of the grind while not making it too easy and I added music and sounds to make it a more finished product. Overall, I can say I am proud of my new baby. I’d like you guys to give it a thorough playthrough and report your thoughts to me if you would. Especially if you find some bugs. I am pretty sure I found them all but there’s always some hidden in the corners. I am now going to take a few days off and then I’m going to start looking at “News desk - gold edition”. Next month, I am going to see if there’s things to fix on this game before trying to put it on Steam! Exciting times. ^_^ This was an exhausting month but I am glad with how it turned out. This build fixed a few bugs that were reported and mostly focused on the android problems. I added the “touch to get the troops menu” function to the mines, Aquarine and hunting tabs. That was because I found that it was incredibly hard to place troops in those on a tablet. Plus, those were the last places that didn’t have that function yet so everything is unified now. I updated the “touch to get the troops menu” for the armies. Once again, it was because of androids as if you had all the units, it would sometimes be really hard to hit the last unit in the line. It’s now much easier for all platforms to use. Now… My defeat… Windowed fullscreen is bugged on unity. I believed I had found a way around it. It looked right and I was happy with it until I realized yesterday that it screwed with the game’s mechanics. I tried all day to fix it and some of this morning but to no avail. So I had to leave it out for now. I was so bummed that I could not get it to work but we have to move forward. In better news, my lovely wife is currently working on making the gold edition versions of the title screens for all my old games. ^_^ She’s done with Corrupting the priestess and is going to work on News desk next since that one is going to be my first focus. Next month, I am going to put Breaking the princess on break. I’m going to go back to it the month after if there are reported bugs and to try to get windowed fullscreen to work again. Instead, I will start working on News desk gold! I’m going to play it thought a time or two and look at my old notes to make myself a wishlist and then get to work. ^_^ If there’s anything you would like to see in the gold version, let me know!
