chan Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and may know of a solution. Odd issue I am having, but sometimes I need to resurrect my character. Not sure what is causing it, have about 250 mods loaded, and selectively turning them off doesn't do anything. I have all DLCs loaded, disabling them doesn't seem to change anything. I am guessing that it is part of the save now, so a fresh install is probably needed. Basically, it is random, and I won't know I need to resurrect my character until I try to 'search' one of the following: -Dragon -Drauger -Vampire (any 'living dead' enemy) Also, when walking into these NPCs when they are fallen, it is as if collision is off (I can walk right through Dragon skeletons). This is more annoying than anything. The solution I have found is the following: -in console, resurrect PC -equip all items again -equip all spells again -quick save -quick load
gregathit Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Ok, based on the comments about dragons and draugers I am "assuming" here you are talking about Skyrim. 250 plugins is a ton and you need to look at probably combining or getting rid of some. More than likely you have some type of conflict between your plugins that is creating issues. Tes5Edit (still experimental) is probably what you should use to see if you can track down what might be causing the conflicts. You also would be wise to post your load order so those who might be more knowledgeable can look to see if they spot any obvious conflicts. Walking through Dragon skeletons is nothing new. I have clipped through those from day one. Quick saves\loads really should be avoided. They are only partial saves and often get corrupted. This has been an issue with Beth games ever since Morrowind. If you really are talking about Skyrim then let me know and I will move it to the correct location (should be in the Skyrim Tech Support section).
chan Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 Apologies, yes, this is for Skyrim. I turned off the auto-saves as that was causing some problems, but the quick saves have been fine. When you walk through the skeletons, does it give you the 'search' prompt? That is the problem I am having.
gregathit Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 No. You should not be getting a search prompt if you just walk through them. You might look at your plugins to see if you have one that auto searches or something along that line. Moving to Skyrim support section.
