Problem with Toys addons

Hello everybody! I have a problem: I can not see any of the toys I have added in Addons folder. I play with VX version, the added toys are ether in .txx or in the new version (images, scenes, script).

Please, help me!

Thanks a lot.

I'll take one of my VX toys as an example.

The Zip file "VX.MarburgToy20.Whip.zip" has a root folder (VX.MarburgToy20.Whip) with three subfolders (Scenes,Scripts and Images)

In order to install the toy, you have two options:

(1) copy the complete ZIP file "as is" to your Addons folder. DO NOT UNZIP OR CHANGE THE FILENAME

OR (not both!)

(2) extract/copy the root folder and everything else from the ZIP file to your Addons folder so you end up with a folder tree like this:

Addons\VX.MarburgToy20.Whip\Images\...
Addons\VX.MarburgToy20.Whip\Scenes\...
Addons\VX.MarburgToy20.Whip\Scripts\...

My advice: use method (1).

When you are dealing with a *.txx file, just drop it in Addons and the game will automatically convert it to a ZIpped VX addon and remove the *.txx file.

TIP: don't drop more than 1 *.txx addon at a time.

Having the same problem. I did the following:

1: Dropped the ZIP file into the Addons folder

(using VX.MarburgToy29.XLDildo.zip e.g.)

then while in the game:

2: New Scene

3: Freemode

4: Start

5: Wait while it loads stuff...

6: Wait some more :)

7: Open the Sexbrowser

8: Select Toys tab and...

9: Nothing. Default toy list. It doesn't show up.

What am I doing wrong?

I've done 3D artwork and modeling before with Poser and other programs,

but this game is a Frankensteinian mess!

Please try again, quit the game, ZIP the contents of your Logs folder and send that archive to me in a PM

Then I can try to find out what's happening.

that's right. I just haven't figured out how to do that yet.

Simply assigning a toy to the Whip category didnt do the trick like i expected.

Hello, is posible convert VX toys, room s,"content" to v7.5.xxx?

Thanks

That's a complicated question. For most stuff made exclusively for VX, no. That's going to be pretty much anything you download from klub exile, as they've sworn not to carry any older stuff.. But most of the older stuff was made on 7.5, so for that it's just a matter of compressing it back to txx. There are a number of tools that can do that. I use tkshelltools. You can try it with the newer addons, but I doubt they'll load. It won't hurt anything though. Just delete the txx if anything goes wrong.

Technically you CAN make a VX-only addon work in 7.5, but it involves assigning it to one of the existing ID#'s. But I'm not the guy to ask how to do that. Marburg would probably know. Avarteas, definitely, but he doesn't come around these parts.

Yes i do. Not that hard or a lot of work.

The difficult part is figuring out which ID you are going to sacrifice. If i remember correctly - 7.5 seems decades ago - not all ID"s are created equally; it determines in which category an add-on ends up.

I like to make a toy to use in TK17 H5 from wavefront obj or h5m

How make to TK read them like a toy and show up in menu.

TK17 toys (addons) and Hook objects are totally different things.

The short answer: to get something into TK17 menus, you need to turn the OBJ file into a Collada file (usually done with Blender) and use CollaTKane to compile it into a TK17 addon. Sounds easy but it often involves quite a bit of work in Blender. The full answer would fill a book.

I understand there's a utility to turn OBJ files into H5M objects. That is probably your best option if you use Hook.
