Follower - Butt jiggles but boobs dont

Hey guys,

I've been playing around with some followers and I'm struggling to figure out why physics dont work for this followers boobs but do for her butt.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/28088?tab=description

There's not really much info on the mods page, so I'm trying to figure out how I can get physics working properly for her.

I'm still trying to get my head around how the physics are actually applied to a model, but in any case my physics are working for everyone, it's just this follower that is giving me trouble. There are some followers that don't have any physics, which is fine, but this follower has butt jiggle happening, so it seems strange that her boobs won't work.

I had a similar issue when I installed an armor remodel mod:

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22168

When I equipped armor my player character showed the same behavior so I went with a CBBE 3BBB one instead which worked, I guess because I have 3BBB 3BA installed.

Here is a screenshot of my load order: https://ibb.co/v42chvC

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'm a technical person, so feel free to go into technical detail if you like.

I should note that the behavior is the same whether she is clothed or naked.

Clothed in any clothed or in the ones that come with the mod? Physics actually apply to the skeleton file. The butt/boobs then jiggle if they're weighted to the specific bones. If now in some mesh parts are weighted to the butt-jiggle-bone, but not to the boobs-jiggle-bone then only the butt will jiggle on that mesh.

That's most likely what caused the issue for the armor remodel mod. Now if you only tried the follower with her naked body and her outfit that might still be the case. Try equipping another armor on her.
To fix that would require reweighting the bone weights in Outfit Studio (which is not that hard if you know how to do it).

Hey dude, thanks for the reply.

So I tried equipping other armor on her but it got pretty buggy, she would automatically equip the armor she came with. There'd be some really buggy overlap then she'd remove what I put on her.

And yeah, clothed in what the mod comes with.

It was impossible to see if jiggle worked when I equipped her with other stuff because of the buggyness.

I've just been checking out the .nif files and comparing them to a follower that I got the physics working for and the bones don't seem to match up. The one it's working for have 3 breast bones for each breast. So I guess I can't use this skeleton for the other follower, unless I can easily copy the bone structure.

It seems the butt works because the butt bones match when I compare it to my follower that has the physics working.

I tried adding the bones, but when I click them it doesn't show the blue/green area I get with the other follower. So I'm guessing this is going to be a whole lot more complicated than just adding some weights.

I've managed to get her bouncing, but the golden things covering her nipples are stationary while her boobs bounce, they don't seem to be matching the boobs, if I increase the boob size they just end up being inside the boob. I should add that when I do the preview before hitting build in outfit studio, they are covering the nipples as they should be in the preview window.

Basically I dropped my xp skeleton into her folder and replaced her skeleton, then dropped some body files in and built her armor with the same preset.

I'm confused, because if I open the body files that she comes with, the proportions are nowhere near what they are in game. I would really like to keep her proportions in tact while enabling jiggle if possible, but the body files aren't making much sense in that regard!

Sorry if my post seems a bit disjointed, I wrote it as I was playing with stuff.

When you replace the body with one that is weighted to the jiggle bones it does not automatically weight other objects, like the nipple covers, to those bones.

You can try to edit the mesh in Outfit Studio. Note that there is a difference here between BodySlide and Outfit Studio. The one where you build the armors in is BodySlide, it has a small button in the bottom right to open Outfit Studio.
Once in there press "File -> Import -> From NIF" and import your armor. In the list on the top right click the body and click "Set Reference", then right click the nipple covers and click "Copy Bone Weights" in the popup window just click OK. Once you've done that "File -> Export -> To NIF" and overwrite the mesh.

Now the covers should have the same bone weightings as the body.

I had tried that.

So the "Cloth" folder which contains all her equipment, contains a body file and then a bunch of other things, like Pants, Nips, Heels and Hands.

The body file that comes with the mod has some armor and stuff on it.

So I tried creating a new project, with the 3ba body, importing the body file and removing the default body, leaving the armor remaining. Trouble with that is the armour doesn't fit the project body properly and if I make it conform, it maintains itself being too big, But I don't mind that really, I can live with that, its not a big deal.

Then there's the matter of the other files, I tried importing them to match them up with this body, but when I do that and save and build, they don't show in game for some reason.

I guess I'm confused about what I'm supposed to be doing. I need to change the equipped body proportions, so I thought putting everything into outfit studio and then saving that, then building it, would give me the body file that I need, but I think I'm misunderstanding how this works.

Am I supposed to make the body and then work on the nif files for each part individually?

Edit: I think the thing that is confusing me is I have applied physics and conforming things to my other follower, and that worked perfectly, just imported all the nif files and conformed them and copied the weights, went back to bodyslide and done the build, dropped the files into her armor directory and it worked. But with this one I'm having no such luck.

I think I've figured out that the reason it doesn't work is that I've replaced the skeleton and it wasn't made with these breast bones in mind. So I just need to figure out how to change that and attach it or whatever you do, to the new skeleton bones.

Anyway, thank you for the help. I've definitely learned quite a bit. If I do manage to get it working I will leave a comment here just in case you are interested haha.

Managed to figure it out.

Importing the nip covers onto the body, added bones to them and copied the weights, then I deleted everything else and exported the nip covers as nif files and overwrote the original ones, now works perfectly. Thanks for all your info, you were a great help in helping me figure this out!
