Alright, first things first....
To ask for help you first need to tell us....

• When creating a topic/discussion make sure make a proper title ie: Help - Darkest dungeon 
• What game you need help with
• when your issue started
• Using mods?
• Do you know what mods you are using ?

Anyway thankfully I had a similar problem before and if I'm not wrong as I just used as example before, you need help with Darkest Dungeon.
That problem usually happens when you use an outdated mod or a mod conflicting with another one.
What you can do is pinpoint it.
First start the game without mod. And create a new game.
If it start normaly (which probably will) good.
Then go enabling mods one by one.
To give you more pointers, that problems usually happens when you add incompatible classes or gameplay mechanics.
So start with that.
All skin mods will mostly likely be OK.
But Class Mods, Mods that add new bosses, classes, and gameplay mechanics will likely give you some kind of error if incompatible with each other or deprecated.

And lastly I suggest requesting for help in the actual Darkest dungeon Modding topic instead of creating new ones.
