Baconsama Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 The title says all,a while ago I activated lovers with pk extender sucessfully but I don't see any SP bar,am I missing a plugin/mesh/dds or it's likely the wrong load order? I'm going to get the load order and edit this OP with it soon.
smoking Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 What version use you? I a had one problem, do not care the charge order, ini, pluggys and other things that i put. the Hud never appear. Now i use this versions and HUD is in his place.LPK Base rev96v2Lover Resourcers v3 for use with LPK base rev96Lover with pk extender patch for rev96v2 betaI'm not english, i not sure if understood but i hope help you.Chao manolin
gregathit Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Make sure you have pluggy 132 and menuque installed.
Baconsama Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 I have both pluggy 132 and menuque, the extender inilializes normally (I see the message in the upper corner after loading, same for the console)and my version is the latest.
gregathit Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 You may need rename pluggy. You also need to make sure you have sex progression set to manual (jump key) or PK extender will turn itself off.
Baconsama Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 Extender is working perfectly fine, next time I have access to the other computer I'll post my load order and the obse plugins. Also I'm using DarN UI (the one you suggested me).
gregathit Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 If you installed anything recently or installed a UI plugin (like DarN) AFTER you installed PK Extender then it may have broken things. I recommend reinstalling PK Extender along with the patch and see if that fixes things up for you.
Baconsama Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 So basically download the PK extender again and overwriting things. And is this the latest version? http://www.loverslab.com/topic/218-lovers-with-pk-extender-243-re-up/ Also I don't understand which patch you are talking about,if it's about me making a patch then I don't know how to make one =/
gregathit Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Yes that is the correct PK Extender. Look at the OP. The very top file is the patch (it is labeled as a patch). The next file down is what you install first, then the patch.
gregathit Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I see but,how do I know if my version needs the patch?Or it's just a upgrade/bug fix? Come on...seriously? What is the name of the patch file? That should be all the clue you need as to whether you need the patch or not.
Baconsama Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 No,I mean I forgot the version I'm using but I remember now,it was just a moment of blank memory lol thanks for the help as usual, grega.
Baconsama Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 I just tested it and after the save loads the game crashes, recently I added minimap as well to the hud,is lovers extender sp incompatible with it? Or any other mod (by the way I did overwrite everything with the extender's base data and then use replaced the plugin). EDIT: Reinstalled minimap and saw there is a OBSE menuque version, which I tried but the game crashed anyway,I'll reinstall darkui darn then reinstall minimap (using the obse menuque install),check,if it works backup it and then overwrite data files with extender bases.
gregathit Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Anything that messes with the hud potentially could conflict. Obviously anything that also mess with menuque also could conflict.
Baconsama Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 So what can I do to fix this up? X.X The fonts problem seems to be fixed, not a big deal since my saves won't load. If you want my load list just say the word, though I'm almost sure this is much more alike xml files problems and the hud itself. Reinstalling oblivion would be a pain,so any hints besides this last resort? Obs: menuque is perfectly normal, exactly as it came from the nexus as I checked a while ago.
gregathit Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Uninstall the minimap deal and any other HUD deal that might conflict (DarN UI should be fine to leave). Then install PK extender and patch it and you should be fine. You will probably have to make a clean save (meaning uninstall all the stuff and leave PK extender disabled) and load that save and then make a manual full save.
Baconsama Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 It's only minimap right now and darn ui,no other hud elements. So again, deactivate minimap, overwrite everything with extender's base, replace the esp, start the game WITHOUT obse, save and launch with obse.Or what else would it mean?If it's related to oblivion .ini again I have backups of it still operational. But if I do that, what I'll lose with that clean save?
gregathit Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 1. Start the game with the oblivion launcher and when you hit the main menu, then exit the game. 2. Uninstall minimap. 3. Install Darn UI 4. Reinstall PK extender 5. Install the PK extender patch 6. Start the game WITH OBSE enabled. 7. Load your saved game. 8. When it finishes loading hit the escape key and save the game. 9. After it finishes saving, exit the game. 10. Restart Oblivion with OSBE enabled and load your new saved game. 11. See if it works right. 12. If it fails, then try starting a new game to see if it is correct.
Baconsama Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 Tried it. I managed to duplicate my save and load it,but crashed after loading anyway. Started a new fresh save to test,it didn't even have the sp bar...so up to now I lost all my saves, minimap and I didn't solve the sp bar problem, hope things will turn out nicely.
gregathit Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Are you sure you have your sex progression set on manual? If it is not on manual then PK extender will turn itself off.
Baconsama Posted April 26, 2013 Author Posted April 26, 2013 It was in automatic...but more importantly unless I make a new save (and only tested for a few minutes) or maybe even just after a clean save I don't manage to load the save properly,it crashes just after it,it's more like a hud problem than a extender's problem at this rate. AFTER EDIT: I use a crash prevention system and even that it did make a sound while loading the save as if it was sucessfull it didn't work when done, but I'll post here the historic of it (day 25 of jan is messed up,it's equal to the day that I started this thread) weOCP (no spoiler?) Baconsama Posted April 28, 2013 Author Posted April 28, 2013 *checks thread* No one has any ideas? =/ *heavy from TF2*: This is bad!
DontBotherMe Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Extender can be tricky especially if you used darnified UI How did you install it ?? Did you also check the main install instruction especially this part ?? Installation:- Copy the contents of the archive to Data folder;- If you previously used 1.0 version of the mod – opened in any text editor "hud_main_menu.xml" file, which is located in "Data/menus/main/" and delete the line:- Save this file;- Check if "hud_main_menu.xml" file located in "Data/Menus/main/" folder. Make sure menuQue is correctly installed, also pluggy 1.25c is stable one. don't use the hud but just the pluggy. If you got the extender correctly working you can press F12 to move the menu around. if the f12 key is working maybe you have too low resolution selected and the menu is off screen. if you still are unable to view the menu try opening the ini from extender and change the lines for off set to: set xLoversSPHUD.SPX to 1set xLoversSPHUD.SPY to 115 This should move the line more to the left so it will appear on screen if it was working right.
Baconsama Posted April 28, 2013 Author Posted April 28, 2013 I use Pluggy 1.32 or 1.25c,honestly I don't remember, I think a mod or two I use may require the 1.32 version, though I'm not sure. What else... I installed all the lovers (without extender working at first),then I installed darn ui,minimap and then activated extender,it worked well aside the sp bar not being displayed, I replaced the files as grega suggested me but it ended in shit sadly. My ''gaming'' notebook is quite slow, the resolution is set to 1024x716 (the closest to those numbers at least),no hd,bloom effect,no antialiasing. I tried to unninstall minimap, install it via menuque plugin (omod installation),reinstall menuque and even replaced the menus and some ini's by a backup that was created before the overwritting. I'll see the ini settings you mentioned,is anything else that may be making the issue? Also: - If you previously used 1.0 version of the mod – opened in any text editor "hud_main_menu.xml" file, which is located in "Data/menus/main/" and delete the line: Which line? Besides I didn't update it,I simply reinstalled it with different preferences.
DontBotherMe Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Well you can actually test pretty quickly if extender is working, did you try to initiate sex with other npc ?? if only the foreplay animations play and you can't switch to other animations with the weapons ready key (default is F key) then extender is off. If it is just menu who is missing press F11 oops not F12 F12 is to get out of it again. press F11 and use the up, left, right or down till you see the menu appearing 1024x768 is pretty low i usually play with 1600x1024 and above. With this you won't have any problems viewing on screen. Try to temporary increase your resolution if you see the menu then then quickly move the menu to the center in the middle of the screen save exit your game, then switch resolution back to 1024x768.
Baconsama Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 Last time I was able to play extender worked quite nicely, foreplay, sex level, satisfaction of npcs...it was just the sp bar. But now when I finish loading the save it crashes, and honestly I'm not feeling as starting it all again at all. I'll try using different resolutions, but I doubt it will do much difference,if you're not much up to pair of what I mean check the first page posts.
