DissocialPersonality Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 im not really sure where to put this but I got a question about Steam Downloads how long are they supposed to take for example skyrim or oblivion because I downloaded at about 150kb on average so that equals around 8 hours for oblivion or 11 hours for skyrim is this normal or is there a problem with my download speed can I fix it? because I don't want to wait a whole day every time I have to reinstall
Veta Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Steam doesn't have a problem for me but 150kb is very slow my average speed is 1Mb , it's probably you ISP , what speed where you promised because many time they know the customers don't know hot to look into it so they give you less that was promised in the contract .

What are the correct settings? I think I got DSL/Cable and that's what its set to.

DissocialPersonality Posted April 20, 2013 Author Posted April 20, 2013 I went to settings--->Downloads + Cloud---> and I see Internet Connection set to DSL/Cable Game Server Browser Set to 3000 Download Region US- New York Steam Cloud Both Checked Im sorry for not knowing what to do
