darkfender666 Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 I have this issue I recently updated a couple of mods Devious Devices LE Cursed loot Devious Follower Since then sometimes when i save the save gets corrupted and if i load it it CTDS so following saves... Even SaveTool (save cleaner) crashes if i try to open the file.... Instaling latest version of Cursed loot mad eit even worse but i am not sure the problem is related.. Any idea on what to do? Without save tool i can't really do much
Shakx88 Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 It's quite likely the string table overflow. Try saving with Crash fixes installed. Do note that if that's the case, the save files won't be compatiable with default skyrim and probably most of the save cleaners (FallrimTools definitely works though).

Fallrim tools works says file has the string table bug No way to reduce save to avoid the issue without installing crash fixes? I don't care about old saves.

You could try removing mods (IIRC, Sexlab animations are relatively string-heavy). Experiments show that it may not remove all the strings a mod adds though. Also, removing mods mid playthrough is a bad idea. IMHO, there is no reason not to use crash fixes to fix this bug (and a couple of other CTD causing bugs Skyrim has). I believe there are no drawbacks to using it.
