Project Blue Moon - River's End, an Atom-Punk Mature (NSFW) 3D RPG Game

Hi All,

I am Stark Creator of Project Blue Moon, an Atom-punk Adult RPG,

Project Blue Moon is new and has only recently been released on Patreon, but the game has been in development for a little over a year now, and we are finally at a point where we can share our universe, basic mechanics, and story with the rest of the world.

We’ve released a "NSFW Story DLC" that allows for a story and setting more appropriate for a mature audience. The DLC is called “Project Blue Moon: River’s End”.

This "DLC" (as of typing this) has an hour and a half of gameplay, including sexual encounters, and the story is actively being worked on and receiving regular updates.

If you're interested, you can read more about it HERE.

Feel free to ask questions, take a look around, or simply say hello! Please excuse my English; it is not my first language.

Stark

Nvm, about Steam, I’m now realizing they allow “adult” games but not games that feature sex.

huh.. im pretty sure that's not how exactly it works because i own some games featuring sex on steam f.e. third crisis

*Looks at my Steam library*

Third Crisis

House Party

Corruption of Champions 2

Yeah, they definitely allow sex.  facc2000 might be thinking of Kagura Games, et al. and their patch system, but a lot of Western developed games have the goods built in the main client.

This seems ambitious and vague.

How big is the team?

First game?

It could use a better trailer. Let's see more of the world and environments in the demo, Character Creation, any combat yet? etc.

I am not going to download some large unknown file to install it to my computer without having a good idea of whats there.

Having a $10 uncensored version this early without much content seems like a bad idea.

Hi everyone, couple things we are working on at the moment,

  • We’re busy finetuning our animation framework so to have more control over the movement of our characters including syncing two characters positions, doing animation on one character is easy but syncing two character is quite the challenge, we’ve also reached out to animation artists to join the project so we can create high-quality animations.
  • We’re at the same time working on a level, a school, that you’ll be able to find in the wasteland.
  • So, you can think of each level being a dungeon to explore and find unique reward in, in this particular dungeon you’ll find a sexy teacher outfit among other things. Keep in mind because its only sandbox mode at the moment lots of lore is being left out so not to spoil the story. We hope to have the school and outfit ready for the next game update. You can see the pictures attached to this post.
  • We’re also working on a clothing morph system, this will allow you to have intercourse and morph clothing to certain states as appose to just removing all the clothes, this is to give you more control over your scene.
  • We’re working on a pose system, and a camera system with camera options and filters allowing you to export pics so to use for visual novels or sharing pictures, but more on this when we’ve got something to show.

Remember Project Blue Moon isn’t only an adult game and intercourse is just one feature in a large RPG with dialogue systems, skill trees and other mechanics that we will get into in future updates.

This reminds me of an episode of "The Shannara Chronicles" - which to me, is a good thing.  Sad that show only got 2 seasons and then cancelled, but it's on Netflix if you wanna track it down to see why this sort of put my head-space there.  Some quick checking puts it as Season 1, Episode 7 "Breakline".  Obviously, if you don't care, that works too.  xD

Definitely gonna be keeping an eye on this one though.  Really impressed with what you've shared so far, though I can't help but worry it's going to be one of those that starts out looking awesome and amazing, and then just vanishes.  Happens SO often, so I've learned to always be a bit skeptical and not get my hopes too high.  ;)

I certainly hope that's not the case here though.  Getting more interested with each update so far.  Keep up the great work!  ^_^

Hi Stark! Is it early access on steam, then i buy it.

Thanks for the heads-up ? We’d love to join early access however not at this early stage, we want at least couple hours gameplay in it before we join Steam.

Thanks for the kind words and we’ll defiantly check it out!

This project is a passion project, so it will get made either way… although, support allows us to hire talented people and that speed things up. I guess new companies need to start somewhere LOL

We’re also doing something unique with the story with various endings but can’t go into that now..  ?

Hello everyone. Wow, it's been a while since I've posted here, so let's catch up.

We’ve released a "NSFW Story DLC" that allows for a story and setting more appropriate for a mature audience. The DLC is called “Project Blue Moon: River’s End”.

This "DLC" currently has an hour and a half of gameplay, including sexual encounters, and the story is actively being worked on and receiving regular updates.

If you're interested, you can read more about it HERE

Meanwhile, here is a synopsis of River’s End DLC:

You're a lone wanderer with a murky past trying to make it in the harsh and desolate Mojave Desert.

You wake up in a bar called River’s End dizzy and clueless as to how you ended up there.

While exploring the area, you come across settlements and tribes, each with their own way of life but all with the same goal, to survive the wasteland and its dangerous inhabitants.

The Mojave is infamous for its lucrative slave trade, and raider tribes extorting supplies from settlements, each defending their way of life; after all, it’s a man eat man world out here.

The past isn’t important now, the future is, what will you be remembered for, and how will you survive? That is a question only time will answer.

But one thing is certain: it’s a man eat man world out there, and you haven’t eaten for days.

We've added a $5 tier in the hopes of attracting more people to the project by making it easier for people to participate and join our community, so go check it out.

Finally, here are some images to show the new features, including strand based hair.

I hope you enjoy!

Stark

Seems like a pretty good game. According to the story, does it happen after a kind of disaster? Just asking, because I've kind of seen this theme elsewhere(I mean the wasteland).

Pretty cool, unoptimized, but that's pretty normal for such an early build. It's like Fallout New Vegas with mods but way better looking,so it does have potential. Is there going to be stuff like pregnancy seeing as there is a belly slider and erotic stuff with creatures ?

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, it was primarily a resource war that had erupted into a nuclear war. It is familiar but have lots of twists.

Thank you, yes optimization takes time, the biggest slowdown at the moment is AI pathfinding, which I hope UE5 will fix because UE5 is all about "openworld".

Yes, there will be plenty interesting things including pregnancy. I'm focusing on AI at the moment then it is time for some more scenes.

After a two-week battle with um... "new engine teething difficulties," Project Blue Moon has finally been updated to Unreal Engine 5. We're very excited to convert to UE 5, and even though the engine was released prematurely (in our opinion), it's still worth the work to integrate the project.

What's the point?

We'll, if you haven't seen what the new UE5 engine has to offer, I recommend you visit the Unreal Engine YouTube channel and check out their Matrix demo, which is absolutely astounding, the degree of detail that game developers can achieve in an open environment with near limitless polygons while running 60fps on consoles is a game changer.

Second, UE5 introduces Lumen, a new raytracing enabled global elimination system designed for open world games, we'll look at implementing it in Blue Moon, Lumen has harsh minimum system requirements, so we'll see if it's scalable and feasible.

You'll hear a lot more from us about UE5 in the future; we're extremely excited to work with the new engine. However, reaching the engine's full potential will take time, and they'll need to do some bug fixing before all of the new systems are stable.
