DarkeningPaladin Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Hiya im working on making a winged twilight race from morrowind for oblivion, most of it is done its probably at a.... BETA stage now, somethings still need to worked out, i have made the face, body and eye textures, i have a resource for the wings and for the digitigrade feet.. However theres a problem with the legs and feet i've been at this for while and i just cant get it to work for some stupid reason... im using the legs and feet from drake the dragons argonian beautification as its the closest looking to the original thing, i tried making them so they were a armor item covering the lower body and feet ( based on the way that geechans hooves work), seeing as most twilight are naked anyway it wouldnt matter lol plus i have no idea how to make a script for it..... anyway everything works fine on nifskope and blender but as soon as go to test them in the cs things get a wee bit s*****, as soon as i equip them to a test npc the lower body and feet appear invisible besides the claws on the feet which are visible. its really frustrating, i've tried fixing it and modifying it but im now at my wits end... i have no idea how to make them bloody work. if anyone can help me solve this issue i'd be very grateful screenshots of the problem below
Ark of Truth Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 If the mesh is not in the game folder then it will not show. Also if it is in a BSA it will not show correctly.
DarkeningPaladin Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 If the mesh is not in the game folder then it will not show. Also if it is in a BSA it will not show correctly. They are a nif and in the games meshes folder, i made a new folder for them but i just moved them to the armor folder just incase but they still dont show up thanks for the tip though
gregathit Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Couple of things: 1. Make sure the textures paths inside the nif files point to where the actual textures are. If the pathing is wrong then the game won't be able to find them. 2. Make sure the legs and other body parts are properly called out as to what portion of the body they cover in the CS. If the upperbody is called out to cover both the upper and lower body then you'll have problems. Best of luck.
Emily Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 And make sure the feet on FEET slot. And lowerbody into LOWERBODY slot. if you put lowerbody into UPPERBODY slot. it won't show.
