buc01 Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 I'm guessing this has been suggested a million times but i feel like blinds/curtains should prevent peeping toms :S Is it difficult to add that interaction? Just curious how come it doesn't exist as i'm sure it's been suggested a lot.

If the sim spying on you is bothering your game, just change the percentage of chance it appears to 0. I don't know if it was my game, but on my saves it basically showed up all the time! And even when he died he came like a ghost to spy on my sims. It was very annoying, so I changed the percentage and the problem was gone.
TURBODRIVER Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 I agree with the idea, yes, peeping Sims shouldn't be looking through windows with curtains or blinds, but I'm not convinced this is worth adding. Besides added performance impact looking for curtains/blinds near windows, I cannot ever be sure that the curtains/blinds do in fact cover windows, so all windows with any decorative elements would end up excluded. Both this, and the general idea that windows can be excluded, lessens the value of the feature. Sure, realism and all, but it's counter productive to the feature existence and development, by actively introducing things that limit it, while you have other solutions to limit it. So I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but I'm questioning if it's worth it. Except simply turning it off, you can beat up the peeping Sims with enough fitness skill, scaring them off.
