So question, it's been a good while, is there any hope for a nude mod for this game or nah? 
Likewise any chance we could use the nude mod assets from the other games for it?

The game files are encrypted. It's not impossible to get textures and models out of the game. Ninjaripper can do that. But due to the encryption it's currently not possible to get any models back in.

 

Texture mods work fine with 3dmigoto, but yet again no models because they have multiple vertex buffers and the wrong topology so can't be imported into blender with the available script.

 

So we either need someone to break the encryption or someone that can update the 3dmigoto blender import script. The dev that made that script hasn't updated the repo in about a year. There's a person working on breaking the encryption on the unofficial GalGun discord but they are also busy with a bunch of other projects.

 

 

And no, we can't just copy any assets from the "older" games and make this work. GGR is made with the imperial engine, an INTI in-house engine we have barely any info on while GG2 is made with UE4 and iirc Double Piece was UE3.

Ah makes sense, was mostly asking since it seemed like the other games were easier to mod. And its been out a while so I thought I would ask. 
I had no idea that game was that encrypted.  And I do apologize I didn't realize they changed the engine again. Should have looked a bit more into the frame work first. But thanks for letting me know. Here's hopping someone can break the encryption then.

Anyone tried making a mod for this game using 3D Migoto?

 

From what i just tried, 3D Migoto seems to work on this game, clothes meshes are easily found, but i know nothing about fixing the lack of body underneath.

 

But i'd hope than since 2021 the blender import script has been updated and can now deal with the issue pointed out above by fraggerman

Here's the mod. Someone else posted a topless mod on one of the galgun discord servers a while ago. 

For the non-main character girls. Replaces the apron outfit. Place the files in steamapps\common\GalGun Returns
