DJ1867 Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 As far as I understand I've downloaded everything correctly, and everything is up to date. I'm using Vortex from nexusmods, and when I enable Racemenu the game doesn't start. I think that may be the problem, but I'm not sure what to do from here. ScreenShot2.jpg.bmp
doomcat9 Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 that red exclamation mark means missing mesh for an object that the game thinks should be there. cannot assist you further with out your mods load order

I downloaded all the files that this site used... :Skyrim SE Adults Mods Guide: Download+ Instructions (techquila.co.in) so I'm not sure it's all updated or right. Not sure what meshes does... It says some of the files are redundant. but it also doesn't seem to like racemenu, as it says it's missing a plugin a lot of the time. EDIT: I opened it in SKSE from steam and it's not even recognizing that I have mods. I'm getting very frustrated, at one point i had all non-human entities t-posing...

That site is absolute rubbish for someone new to modding, honestly if you are this fresh to it all then youtube is your best bet for making sure you have SKSE and FNIS installed properly (your TPose on some entities sounds like a FNIS problem) and for installing mods in general until you are used to doing it. Meshes are the 3d shape of a model, so it looks like you have added new 3d models ? They can be anything you see in game, people, animals, weapons anything that has a 3d shape if files are redundant, it means something else (another mod) is overwriting it, if all files are redundant then that mod now does nothing. Are all your plugins activated on the plugin section ? To be honest, you are probably better off starting over, not going by that website.

I fixed it, some of the mods I had downloaded where meant for mainly SE, I had been changing the mods to work for Oldrim, but I guess I missed one. Thanks for the assistance.
Gukahn Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 For the future i would highly recommend you to look some guides up. You don't have to follow them to the letter but you will be able to learn quite a few things from them. Never install a mod without reading the description so you won't ever get the situation again where you have to answer "I don't know what this does". I you don't know where a plugin is from then it doesn't belong in your load order. Troubleshooting is a thing you will get used to every time you make bigger changes in your load list. I would advice, after you are done with the Groundwork (every mods you know will stay no matter what.) You write your working load order down. I do that and never had to deal with game breaking conflicts ever again cause i could just Re-role (or in rare cases knew it doesn't make sense anymore and start a completely new safe, i use this situations to get rid of mods i found interesting but never used or so rarely used that i won't miss them..)
