LordZero Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 Long story short, I have been trying to figure out for the last few days why my CBPC mod is crashing everything I get to the main menu. My game has been working perfectly fine with CBPC installed since December when I got SE and installed CBPC. But when I loaded the game yesterday, it just freezes and crashes at the main menu. I'm trying to load just skse, fnis, cbpc, and xpmse, 4 mods, and still freezes and crashes at the "continue, new, load..." main menu with no icon. I also cleaned out my overwrite section to see if anything there is affecting. I haven't added any new mods to my load order. I haven't changed CBPC, skse/skyrim, fnis, or xpmse versions. Removing the cbp.dll works, but I imagine that's the entire mod. There are also no other cbp.dll being loaded, when going through the troubleshooting on the FAQ. Any help please?

CBBE type or UNP type of body (if it makes difference...)? Yes, all up to date. SKSE 2.0.19 and Skyrim 1.5.97 XPMSE from 1/9/21 update FNIS also. I haven't touched any of these mods since the start, expect for that update of xpmse UNP - of BHUNP, is not up to date though. Should this matter? EDIT: Just updated this and enabled, still crashing on main menu.
zenonthez07 Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 I've had this problem multiple times and the problem has always been that my Skyrim.Exe either corrupted or was altered causing CBPC to crash at the main menu. Usually it stemmed from cleaning my master files for some reason. It's why I keep a backup EXE file and masters to prevent having to completely reinstall my game. You can read about this issue on the pinned comment on the CBPC page about cleaning masters.
LordZero Posted February 5, 2021 Author Posted February 5, 2021 Solved - For the time being? You have to verify game files. A few files were replaced, not sure which. I always try to avoid this since I worry this may break down Skyrim itself, but... hey... game is already pretty broken when it can't run 4 mods + CBPC.

But suddenly changed? Anyways, it's solved, thanks
