Alright I'm hoping this question is easier solved than I think but I'm playing this whole modding thing by ear and I'm totally stumped. For posterity I'm using MO2.

I'm trying to use the body I blended using this mod, But I want only my player to have the body so I got this badboy here to give myself a custom bod.

Now I placed the two files I got from texblend (or rather that texblend left in my overwrite) into the textures folder, and it loaded the body but it loaded it as a solid blue color, despite being one color it still had geometry, as I could clearly make out the correct muscles . I assume what I've done wrong is that I somehow only made the geometry for the body without anything else (or something to that effect (please correct me if you know), seeing as every other NPC with a working custom texture has a lot more than two files in their folders. But truth be told my uneducated bumpkin brain can only make so many guesses.

Using the fitness body mod by itself works totally fine, but with the downside of making every female NPC without a custom skin (that being everybody who isn't Serana and Sofia) look absolutely yoked. so I take it there's some files related to skin color and other such things tucked away somewhere, but I've combed through the files on that mod and I simply can't find them. Sofias fully functional custom textures file for reference, clearly it seems I'm missing a few things.

My end goal here is for my PC, Serana, and Sofia to all have different physiques based on their fighting styles that work with HDT, SO far Serana and Sofia are done, and my character has the correct physique but everything from the neck down is a nice, soft, missing texture blue.

Long story out of the way, how should I go about acquiring these files or suitable replacements? Any advice is helpful advice, like I said, I'm flying by the seat of my pants here, I'm pretty much an infant bonobo when it comes to the depth of my knowledge of modding and this is a bit of a clusterfuck so thanks if you read all the way.

Not enough info to say for sure.   Are you using BodySlide?  If so you may be better off using the "Athletic" CBBE or UNP preset and adjusting the sliders to fit your tastes.  Aside from that, your body model seems to be looking for textures in a specific folder or location that are not there or are incorrectly named.  Those skin files should have come with the body model you are using.  There are 2 files, one is called a "Normal Map" it's all magenta and green (usually), and that is where you get the depth of the muscles from.  The other is the color map also known as "Diffuse Map".   The Diffuse Map seems to be missing. (Probably female_something.DDS).

In Mod O 2 you could try to use the "create Mod" option from the overwrite menu, name it, and make sure it is placed below any other mod that might affect a body skin in the load order (such as Leyenda Skin and bodyslide data) Also place it below any NPC mods in the load order.  (In mod O 2 using the left column and giving it a larger number to make it load with greater priority).  You could also try using the "Add to mod" option from your overwrite menu with the texblend files in it and select your body model mod folder (Hoping that is where the skin texture files should be).

Gimp 2 is a free graphics program that has a DDS plugin which will allow you to view, edit, and save DDS format files.  It might help if you are not sure what files are what.

Good luck with it.

Thanks for the lesson about Normal and Diffuse maps, that's some pretty handy info, I've seen the two terms thrown around but never really knew what to make of them.

To answer your question, yeah I have bodyslide but the reason I want to avoid going that route is because using bodyslide changes every NPC and I don't want every random lady in Skyrim to be a gym rat lol. the mod itself (the very first fitness body one I linked) comes with texblend and a bunch of different options for the body, things such as different options for back and arm muscles, abs, etc., looking at the mods file structure, it seems to me that all of the variations of all of the options are stored in the mod's zip file as jpgs until I manually stich them together using the copy of texblend included in the mod. The thing that confuses me however, is that if I use the mod standalone, with either CBBE HDT body or regular CBBE it works just like an ordinary body mod, colors and all, the only problem is that it replaces everyone's body and I specifically want just my character changed.

The thing I'm hung up on is that if the mod has the capacity to work when activated by itself, does that not implicate that somewhere within the mod the additional diffuse maps I need are hidden somewhere? If not within the mod itself, where else should I look? It has to be getting these diffuse maps from somewhere, so I have to believe the maps exist simply because there's a version of this mod that works flawlessly, and what's more it works without changing anything in my load order so this leads me to believe I have what I need and simply cant find it. The real root of my problem here I guess is that I cant figure out how to get the fitness body mod to only work on my character and no other NPC's. I think what, given what you've told me here, is to try and see if I can get ahold of the standard CBBE diffuse maps as a sort of experiment and see how those work out for me.

Edit: Oh my fucking god that worked. Truth be told that was so hairbrained I honestly was expecting it to fail and me to learn something out of it and move on with the next solution. That wouldn't have been possible without what you told me about maps, so thanks, I'm grateful to you for that.
