Decapitated enemies become bald

Hey,

 

I don't know whether this is a specific issue or whether this is just a problem with how decapitation in the game works in general but every time a decapitation happens the severed head turns bald. I'm using mods such as KS Hairdos, ApachiiSkyHair etc.. Is there a way to resolve this problem?

don't think hair mods would do it. before i got overlays which tend to let you CTD by decap´s i never had a problem with it. So you can most likely  exclude them. If you don't figure it out and don't mind not heaving then i would suggest the Mod violens kill moves that let you disable decaps alltogether. not a problem solver of course but a way arround to not have to deal with it anymore

Hmm, I already have violens. It's just that the decap animations are the coolest killmoves in my opinion so I'd really like to find some way to resolve this.

I did a bit of testing and it turns out that when I take armor pieces (doesn't matter which one) from a decapitated npc the hair returns to the head. I also removed all equipment from an NPC and then activated the decapitation killmove, they still remain bald so for some reason unequipping an armor piece after decapitation updates the head correctly. Does anyone know what to make of that?

Idea: a script that unequips a piece of gear or the weapon from the decapitated enemy?
