New skins slider behavior in 1.5.5? (technical issue)

Recently updated to 1.5.5main and my customized skins.xml is producing different (i.e. bulkier) results than in 1.5.4. Have they changed something to the sliders behavior / proportions in 1.5.5? Or is it a different syntax / different bone names...?
