Rebuying FO3/NV on PC..

Anyway, as the topic says, I'm rebuying FO3 and NV on the PC..

And I'd just like to know which mods you would recommend to start up with, be they adult or otherwise, I don't mind~

Project Nevada, EVE, Millenia's Weapon Retexture Project, bodies of your choice, Weapon Mod Menu, MCM, Weapon Mods Expanded.

 

If you're getting both Fallout games, get ALL DLC if you can, and by ALL I mean even Gun Runner's Arsenal, then download and install Tale of Two Wastelands so you can play Fallout 3 with New Vegas's engine and all it's weapons and fun things.

If you are new to modding and never installed mods before, I strongly advise against installing any mod that combines those two games, as you most likely wouldn't be able to tell if something is going awry and it is generally a compatibility nightmare. Try that if you're comfortable with editing plugin files to point to new masters or make necessary adjustments to the plugins themselves. If you don't know what I'm talking about, well you get the point...

 

You will find that the most endorsed mods on the Nexus and here on LL are the mods you want to install. ElvenScoundrel listed some of them for New Vegas, which I agree, are some of the must-haves for that particular game. Make sure to read every installation instruction carefully, as to avoid future problems with your game, because some mods don't play with each other very well or need to meet certain criteria, like a merged patch, to function properly. Adult-wise you want to go with our own Sexout. Mostly geared towards female-submissive type characters, with few choices for male PCs (with some exceptions, like the one in my signature and some others). 

 

For starters I recommend the following setup for FNV (just fire them up in google, it will point you to the right direction):

 

Get the Fallout Mod Manager, BOSS and FNVEdit of the Nexus and NVSE from silverlock (make sure to grab the 4GB loader as well, if you have more than 2GB of RAM). 

 

Utility Mods I highly recommend:

 

DarnifiedUI, Cipscis Auto Save Manager (CASM), Mod configuration menu (MCM), Weapon Mod Menu

 

Gameplay overhaul mods:

 

Project Nevada, Weapon Mods Expanded, Project Reality 

 

Beautification mods:

 

Mojave Delight and Lings OR Mikoto, look at the screens and decide for yourself

 

 

This will have you busy for a while for a first time setup. It is possible with most mods to integrate them as you go, but not with all of them. Just read the instructions and install with caution.

Depending on the game play experience you want for New Vegas, I would recommend Mission Mojave with jsawyer.esp for a vanilla-ish experience with more challenge and fan patches. For a complete Overhaul with extra content, try NVEC, which includes both those mods and much more. I've never had any particular interest in project nevada,  but I think it can be patched into nvec if you want it.

 

For sexout, this will depend on your on preferences, but I recommend Sexout Tryouts and Consequences as fun quest mods that tie into the exisiting storylines for playing a female character through.
