WickedWhims won't allow incest despite the perk

Hi, sorry to bother you all, but I've been having a little problem. I created a big ass family, and I mean HUGE, and for roleplaying purposes I have two incestuous brothers. Yeah, yeah, don't judge. Anyway, I tried enabling the incest trait for both of them but it won't work. The romance tab does appear, but it won't work. The "have sex" option won't show, but that's not even the problem, I'm interested in the *romantic* interactions, but nothing happens. The only one that works is compliment appearance, that's it.

 

Whenever I try to make them confess their feelings or do something physical (e.g. kiss, embrace), the action cancels itself out and sometimes they look like their bodies reset. For instance, one of them will sit on a bed, then stand up and reset. At first I thought it just wouldn't allow the incest, but I tried male-female and it worked (except for the "have sex" option). I thought perhaps they had to be the same age, but the male-female was adult and teen, while the brothers are adult and young adult, so I assume it's irrelevant.

 

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'd appreciate the help. I also have the MCCC menu in case the information is necessary, and I've tried InTeen as well since WickedWhims didn't help, but it didn't work. Thought it was a conflict so I deleted the others while leaving one, but it didn't work either. Since the interactions did work with a male-female, is the problem male-male? I set the gender preference for bi but nothing happened, the romance interactions simply won't work, they just cancel themselves and their bodies reset.
