Skyrim WAS working fine

Hey guys, I can't explain that one and it drives me crazy.

I have installed a bunch (7 mods) of armor mods, only armor and after selecting the mix I wanted, I saved the game > quit > on MO2 unchecked the mod (I wasn't sure which one exactly so I didn't uninstalled, just unchecked), and I can't launch the game anymore. I have a ctd right after the game finish loading my save.

So sometime the game doesn't like when you remove mods and the missing content can crash the game, so I thought just reactivating the mod would fix it....but it doesn't. I can't launch my save or the previous one, CTD everytimes even if LOOT and FNIS doesn't detect anything, 0 error.....<

 

The load order is a bit messy since I used Loot recently, but I've been playing for hours with a similar one.

Did you backup your data files? I always do before add more to see what updated broke it?

I usually do a backup of my load order in case, but even with that it's the same. The backup was before adding the armor mods, but I always put them at the same place in the load order and since it's just armor, it shouldn't matter.

Since I'm using MO2, the data folder is clean of any mods (I don't know if you're familiar with MO2 but it create a separate folder and instal the mods there).

So you installed some mods.  Wore some of the pieces (This is really hazy in your description).  Then disabled the mods while wearing them?  Is that correct?  You also have CBBE and 3BBB which points to some of those armors POSSIBLY being Physics Enabled.

 

Is this correct or am I misunderstanding?  If so...that is bad.

 

Short answer is you cannot uninstall mods SAFELY after you saved a game with them enabled.  I am not saying it cannot be done, but you take RISKS.

 

I assume you built the armor in Body Studio? 

 

If you have all the mods disabled, go to a save before you installed them and try to load that.  If that works, well hopefully you can figure out at that point (The objects go away when you disable the mod, The save data of you wearing something (that is now gone) does not.)

How much ram you have? I have 32gigs DDR4 no issues. How long ago you did freash OS installed?
