nehaberlan Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 Hi, I'm working on creating an inn. I have bosses. I added factions that were required with the rank 0. I created their chests. They can rent room, etc... I created my own books. In their chests, I added these books, a lingerie. I checked my mod, there is no problem. For testing, I started a new game by using "start a new life" mod at Level 1. Before, I was using a "Save Game" that I've gotten from Nexus, that the game's level was at Level 81. When I opened the game by using "Level 81" saved game after I made the last changing my mod in the Creation Kit, I could see my specific items in their sale list. But, when I opened the game at Level 1, the same newest .esp file, I couldn't see my specific items, or they had a blank list, or they just had several vanilla items. The same mod .esp file, but different sale lists. I tried to understand/solve what was the problem, but I couldn't. Maybe, you can help me. If you can help me anyway, I'll really appreciate... Nehaberlan... For comparison, I send you several screenshots the same NPCs at Level 81 and Level 1: PS: If you notice, their gold amounts are different in two Levels... At "Level 1": Ceesee sales vanilla items: Vaniity sales nothing: Saana sales standard items: At "Level 81": Ceesee sales vanilla items, lingerie, specific books, etc... Vaniity just sales what she has in her chest. Specific items as a Merchant: Saana sales what Ceesee sales as an InnKeeper/Merchant...
Tlam99 Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 Your items might be in the leveled list and appear not before you reach level 81 ?

I created them as illusion books. Lingerie has a power. But, I don't recall that I added them in any Leveled List. Actually, I have no idea what is a "Leveled List"... If I added them in a Leveled List by mistake, can you tell me how I can remove them from there? And, how can I understand if these items are in Leveled List, or not? Cheers...
Tlam99 Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 Like this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/25395 A shop keeper carries items, which are random. This items must come from a list. Depending on your level, you can buy different e.g. spellbooks, weapons. I assume, that's the reason it's called leveled lists. You can also try Wrye bash. The bashed.0 will merge your items into the list for e.g. shopkeepers items.

The bashed.0 will merge your items into the list for e.g. shopkeepers items. There are not "Leveled Items". I sent my files to a friend. He couldn't opened the game at Level 1 too. So, he tried to check for figuring out if there are any problems by using TES5Edit. He changed the flag from False to True in the mod's merchant factions and he was finally able to see their vendor items in game. In the Creation Kit, "Not Sell/Buy" Flag was not selected. I watched the tutorial. It was talking about this "Not Sell/Buy" option. I couldn't understand its full function. I didn't get any problem when I hasn't been using it at Level 81. Here is the tutorial: Adding a Merchant NPC to Skyrim In the Create a new vendor faction part, there is this info: The next two fields indicate what kind of items the merchant can sell and buy: In the Vendor Buy/Sell List select the list that cointains the kind of items your merchant can (or cannot) sell and buy. If the Not Sell/Buy flag is not checked it means that the merchant will only sell and buy the kind of items in the Vendor Buy/Sell List you've selected. If the Not Sell/Buy flag is checked it means that the merchant will sell and buy anything but the kind of items in the Vendor Buy/Sell List you've selected. If you want yor merchant to buy and sell anything, like Belethor in Whiterun, then use the settings shown in picture Adding a new vendor faction: the VendorItemsMisc list contains almost nothing. It's confusing... What do I have to do? Selecting "Not Sell/Buy", or not? If I have to select, why? At the image, it shows that "Not Sell/Buy", "VendorItemsMisc" are both selected. Selecting "Not Sell/Buy" option seems the trick. I still have the big "Why?" question. The instructions you quoted say that there is almost nothing in the list of items for VendorItemsMisc. When "Not Buy/Sell" is enabled it means that the vendor will sell everything else that is not in that list. For a new game, it's must, imo. My vendor lists have all my specific items. "Not Buy/Sell" is enabled. I can see all my specific items in the lists. It doesn't sound logical. Logically, "Not checking" it sounds better. But, it doesn't work at a new game. However, it works at my "Level 81" game. In the video or website tutorials, they should give more info, with more details to answer my big "Why" question mark... Don't you agree? Cheers...
