Oh and btw: if you already end up loading MCS into CS to edit AI packages, you might as well take a look at the follow package - goddamn activate "skip fallout behavior" or how its called, so that they stop talking with any random bystander when you told them to follow.

I dunno what wrong with Mad Companionship Spells but very often when I enter the battle with allied NPCs my game crashes. When I do the battle alone without any aide I get no crashes at all.

Turning 3d update on double face seemed to solve the crash issue.

target your evil characters and give them faction ranks below.

setfactionrank 00034E70 1

setfactionrank 0000349b 0

 

If you want to walk peacefully around everywhere with them, then you'll need to open the oblivion file that they belong to and examine the characters.  Find our what evil factions they belong to.  Then in game make the same  move but set the factionrank to -1.

 

 

There is also the possibility that their evil deeds have gotten a bounty on their heads, so you might need to target them and setcrimegold to 0.

Always i used CSR, a great mod, i like for your human touch (all for dialogue) but see that something occur with LAFP.

 

The other day i have installed MCS and really has good things. but as I have to do to make my companions attack the npc's bad? Only attack the npc if I throw them the spell barrage (I think it was called that)

I have a magic-based companion, but seeing her use spells is incredibly rare. Instead, her prefered method of attack seems to be hand to hand combat. Is there a way to change this behaviour?

It's probably because her combat AI is set to prefer melee combat. Bandits or maurauders prefer close combat and bandit wizards or necromancers run away when they are hit because they basically prefer ranged. MCS is intended to work with arbitrary (not premade dudes as in CM or MPC) companions, so it doesn't really have such sensitive settings.

 

It's set in the editor. You can change it in CS, or simply script it, if you don't want to mess with the original plugin. It's not difficult.. but may give some headache if you're completely new to it.

Hi.
when i use msm extension on companion i dont have option to force them to weir always the armor.
In the book companion list i dont have any option about wear armor.
wtf?
I seen this question was asked many times, and each times it's "use companion spell" i dont have this spell.
I have this ESP.
And all this spell with. "peace order, call, ect, ect"... But no "companion spell' and if i guess it's mcs extension spell to use on companion, i dont have any spell about armor/clothe.
really wtf ... it's not supposed to be so hard to found an option lol.
Is this "mcs topic"? i dont know what is it.
Help.. please i'm really bored about this (and why many people have difficult to found this option...and why me i cant found this damned option! :s )

EDIT:
Ok i found the problem.
while i search before, i have changed different setting.
when i cast MCS extension on compagnion there was a message telling <respawn equipement should be on "forbiden"> but i dont know what it was.
So this setting is in your book with your compagnion list.(look in your inventory)

clic on configuration, in the bottom menu, before cancel button. And choose forbiden for "respaw equipement".
And wooot, now, when you use MCS entension spell on compagnion there's new option! Yeaahhh...

I have no idea why by default you cant acces to theses option cause the configuration in book is not on forbiden.
And i dont know why guys did not said that, cause sure, we can search, lol.
And in the read me file, it's not explain also.

Bad bad. but now good, after..lol..maybe 1 hours to read and search and turning crazy XD

Maybe we did not have the same basic configuration at start (but that sound no logic) and maybe the "lucky guy" got their configuration on "forbiden" so they could see and choose the option about clothe and armor. But for the other, as me, open the name list book in inventory and choose your respaw equipement on forbiden and only after that you can use msc extension spell on friend to have the new option...
I hope it will help.

Hi- I know this thread is a little old, but I'm hoping some people can help me out with something. 

 

I've tried using this mod on npcs from Morroblivion, and while I can get them to follow me, they don't always attack my enemies, in particular banits. They attack animals that I come across (I assume daedra/sixth house cultists as well, though I haven't tested it yet) but they seem to ignore any bandits or other npcs that I get into a fight with. I tried the spell out on a guard, and he attacked the bandits on sight. I assume this is because the guard faction is designated to fight bandits whenever they see them, whereas regular npcs are not. Does this mod fix that in any way? Can I make my followers more aggressive and attack whatever npcs or creatures I'm currently attacking, regardless of what their faction alignment is?

Hello, it seems people are still active on this thread so I'll ask a little something. When I use the "trade" command to give clothes to my followers, they put them up without a problem, but armors and weapons they don't. Sometimes they use them when a battle goes, but then there's a weird thing happening, the armor and clothes given alternate, as if the companion keeps equiping and un-equiping said armor. Is it from MCS, or should I look elsewhere?

I have also found some armor/clothing/weapon equipping oddities with some companions like GGC_Messiah and GGC_Mila. This is I believe due to scripting conflicts between GGC and MCS. If you choose to have either of them as a mage or sorcerer and then give them heavy armor, you'll need to choose boost armor skill or they won't equip the heavy armor.

 

Keeping the GGC companion to default and then using MCS spells seems to work best or most reliably.

 

Also not advisable to use MCS extension spells on Hiyokos, especially those born as slaves. That too conflicts with either scripts and/or AI.

 

Just a note if anyone is using these.

Is it known to be safe to modify the .esp files to remove GGC or CM from such mods? I've done both and it hasn't caused any harm so far, but I'm not completely certain.

I've done some modification and edits to GGC companion MODs but not CM.

 

The most I've done are to allow for having more than one GGC companion active; Mila and Messiah for example. The issues stemming from GGC MODs are they are all the same scripts based on the legacy Valeria MOD. So ther eis a limit on how many you can use at once in-game without experiencing some sort of follower issue.

 

There was a post a while back in the GGC thread where a member had removed all GGC scripts but I never tried or tested it as I prefer to have some of those scripts intact. Were they all removed it would make them good candidates for using MCS on them.

How on earth do i make the HUD companion bars so clear? I only get a small travesty and the ini is confusing me

Just thinking about the "jail problem", shouldn't it be possible to see if you have a bounty and talk to a guard (as in, you are likely getting send to jail), check for active followers and set them to "wait here", so you do not have to reload then?

 

Have to look into the scripts... off i go.
