Need Help! Mod Making Tutorial

Recommended Posts

Hey guys! I'm new here and I started to learn to make my own mods recently. Unfortunately the only tutorial on making a mod is from DarkStarSword on youtube.

This tutorial introduced some basic steps to skip the buffer, I think it's a good start.

However, what if I want to replace some part of suits with the one made in blender? I downloaded some mods from this forum to see how it works but failed to make adjustments.

Could you guys please tell me where I can find an advanced tutorial or what step should I follow to make replacement? Thank you guys!

I asked a lot of question about modding in this forum, but hardly any people bothered answering to advanced blender problem.

So sad huh.

This place isn't very friendly for beginner modder.

I'm starting to lose interest in making a mod now.

If the weight paint (vertex groups) is not appropriate, the swimsuit and body will collapse on the game screen.

The beginners have a hard time understanding this issue first.

The discussion below will be helpful.

Also, the following are important factors in creating a mod that replaces objects (swimsuit, body, hair, etc.).

  • weight paint (vertex groups)
  • UVmap

Without understanding these concepts and how to use blender, it is difficult to create mods that replace objects (swimsuit, body, hair, etc.).

Thanks a lot! I'll try it.
