Requesting Help for Quest Alias

I'd like to solicit technical advice from someone who knows how to create a quest alias that can be used to control the Conditions for NPC dialogue.

 

Slaverun Reloaded has a Comments plugin that enables NPCs comments for when the player/followers wear devious devices. I'm currently working on the Comments plugin to make it a standalone mod, so that it can function without a dependency on either Slaverun or Sexlab Sexual Fame.

 

Some of the dialogue Comments are from NPCs who are talking about one of the player followers, there is a quest alias seems to be intended to detect if a follower exists that is wearing devious devices. Iit seems that I have unintentionally prevented the quest alias from functioning in the intended way.

 

I don't fully understand the mechanics, and I've been unable to get it working correctly. When I load the mod ingame, NPCs will frequently use the dialogue lines about my follower, even though I don't actually have one.

 

What I need to achieve is that certain dialogue lines will not be spoken by NPCs if I don't have a follower that is wearing items with specific keywords. I don't really care how it works, as long as it works.

 

The quest alias is referenced by about half the dialogue in the Comments plugin to work correctly. If I can't find an alternate way to create an appropriate quest alias then I can only enable about half of the 1700 lines in the mod, so it's a significant loss and I'm willing to make the extra effort to learn how to solve this problem.

 

I suspect that the quest alias relied on scripts in the original SRR or SLSF mod, so it may be unable to function as intended in a standalone form and would need to be reworked. Is it even possible to achieve what I intend without needing to create scripts? I don't know how to write scripts.

 

I've uploaded the plugin file "Slaverun_Reloaded_Comments.esp" here, along with a temporary dependency plugin. The quest alias is "FollowerInsultable". The quest is-

SLV_DeviceComments "Comments for a device whore" [QUST:2D00B556]
