Deadly Reflex V5 - Stealth Moves Not Functioning

So yeah. I'm not sure how long this has actually been a problem, I just know it hasn't always... but I can't even remember whether it was working during my last oblivion binge, a few months ago. Because honestly, I forgot the feature existed. (Normally not a blade using stealth character.) But, I remembered that Deadly Reflex lets me hit the assigned bash key, while crouched, undetected, and behind someone, to either do a flying attack at them from afar, or to slice their neck from up close. Neither of these seem to work. All of the other stuff seems to. I can bash, kick, stab, etc, all day, all the time. But when stealthed, my bash key doesn't work, until I am detected, then I can bash all I want. But if undetected, then it doesn't do anything. Any ideas what might be causing this? And, I know this is a wild shot, but is there any chance that this is not working for the same reason that the L key for Player Slave isn't working?

 

Oh, and I haven't tried the sleep stab yet... I'll get back to you on that. Edit: Nope, no sleepy stabby stabby either.

 

Edit: Oh, and if it matters, character's relevant stats:

Blade: 35

Sneak: 60

Athletics: 50

You will have to do some diagnostics:

 

-Start a new game and see. See if you can use bash key while sneaking. If the throat slitting and jump attack works then something wrong is with your save. You can fix that perhaps by disabling deadly reflex plugins and making a clean save. Other way would be to load older save...

 

-Start a new game with only deadly reflex plugins enabled. See if you can use bash key while sneaking. In this case some mod you have in the loading order may conflict. I remember LoversBitch being buggy with the deadly reflex in some instances i.e. throwing weapons feature.

I forgot to try a clean save with it. Ugh. I am an idiot.

 

And yes, starting a new game let me do it, so I tried an ACTUAL CLEAN SAVE, not just reinstalling the mod in one go, like an idiot. And boom, it worked. Thanks for reminding me of the simplest step I skipped. My hero. \o/
