CK - Detecting events, locations etc.

HELLO !....

I'm Tobi :o... and I'm looking for help...

 

I do use Quests sometimes but i mostly use Scripts... for me Quests are useless i was using them only to build Dialogues etc. so i know almost nothing about Quests xD

Some of u may already know that im working on Follower Mod - OHH FUCK YEEE :O  i said that i fking HATE FKING FOLLOWERS ;o...

 

but now i want to make one :D hehehehe lol...

 There is TL:DR version at the End of Post

 

Ofc. its gonna be Tatsu Follower and i already made some progress in that...

But i don't want to make just BORING and STUPID follower that you say "Follow me i need Your help"

 

What i want to do is completly new Follower system with scripts etc.

 Tatsu will follow You only if You agree to share Killed Dragon Soul with her, sometimes she will ask You to give her one of Your souls back

 in exchange she will teach You one of her Dragon Lord Voice Words ( which are little different than regular words but also powerful :D )

 

 I want her to start as "Naked" and when You kill Dragons you can give her Dragon Bones and Dragon Scales so she can make Armor and Weapon

 ( but normaly she use Destruction, Illusion and restoration magic so its fine if she don't have weapons : D )

 

ofc. for that i need to detect somehow Event when player KILLS dragon... and tbh i don't know how to do that...

thats why i need help of sm1 who know :D hehe....

 

I also want her to say something when she enter to City or Cave or something... i think that i could just add her another event when she change cell

but maybe there is better solution for that?... because even if i detect that she change her location how im able to say where she is now?... is that Cave? or City? or Woods?... how ? :o

 

 

ofc. she will have a lot more events like for example she might become Hungry, and she will ask You for Food or leave Your for while ( to hunt some animals )

or she will said that she is tired and she want to stop for while and rest ( You can also agree or not ) if you do not agree to stay and rest she might leave you for while.

 

but those events are simple... im just gonna attach Script to her with Update every 10 seconds and every animation event so she can become tired

when she is fighting etc. and hungry after time ;D

 - Best way to detect Dragon Kills

 - Best way to detect location change ( with type of that location ( cave, dungeon, city, woods, etc. )

 - Best way to detect other NPCs ( idk. hitting them with Area Spell is my idea... but maybe there is better way? )

Story Manager "Kill Actor" event with a non-optional, allow-dead Alias reference conditioned on the closest Dragon filled through the Story Manager

There are 3 ways I know of:

1) Quests (Make a Quest with non optional Aliases. Try to start the Quest, when the Quest manages to start you get all the NPCs you want)

2) Cloak spells that flags NPCs and stores them in a Formlist/Array

3) FindRandomActor // FindRandomActorFromRef. This is the easiest to setup but asking for more than one or two NPCs here pulls a high toll on the engine

Hmm... StoryManager?...

Is that some Tool for Modders or something in CreationKit?...

 

I never heard about Story Manager :x...
