Co0n Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Although I set it to "NOT UPDATE" in the steam settings (just checked it again) the game keeps updating itself... This is the second time in a row this happens and I could always scream in anger! Luckily the newest skse is out, so no problems here, same for Script Dragon luckily, But I dont want to wait for a new script dragon version for half a year like in 2012 ^^ So how can I make sure my game stops updating for real?
HanPL Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Found this on steam forum (modernator anwser ) If you look at the option it clearly states do not automatically update this game, not do not update this game under any circumstances. All that option does is make it so that patches are downloaded when you next run the game rather than having them download as soon as steam detects an update.Everyone got a forced update because that was one of (and continues to be) one of the purposes and pros of steam, to automatically deliver patches and ensure everyone is on the same version.
Co0n Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 Thanks for the clarification.... now I hate steam too
Dee383 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Mine Updated 6 Times The Other Day And From What I Could Make Out Steam Was Updating It Then Removing The Update It Because Each Time Steam Restarted The Main Browser Was Diffrent. Personally I Hated Steam Ive Never Wanted It Installed But With This And NV I Dont Have A Choice .....
HanPL Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Well steam is not so bad comparing to Origin for example. So far I only had one major problem with Steam when you change language it sometimes download language pakcs for certain games (like Skyrim for example )
