Could someone help me with making a preset using this follower mod?

Recommended Posts

I really like the way the male character looks in this follower mod and I'm trying to use racemenu to use his face data but I can't seem to do it right. Could anyone help me out? I don't need the ears and tail because I found some physics enabled ones that I want to use instead. I'd also like to copy the whole body if it's possible but I'd be fine with just the face.

Here's a link to the mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/41430

Are you trying to recreate it? in the sense, do you want to copy it?

I'd like to copy it but I'll take what I can get at this point. I've been trying for a few days but I'm a complete novice at this stuff. But hopefully without the ears and tail.

generally, a follower is copied in this step:
1) Remove the zip.
2) Meshes / Actors / character / facegendata, take the nif.
3) textures / actors / character / facegendata, get the DDS
4) Copy them both in Skyrim data folder / SKSE / Plugins / Chargen (you can rename them if you want).
5) In game, Racemu / Sculpture / Import nif you just copied.
6) At play, Racemenu / cursors, for any corrections.
7) In game / Racemenu / Preset, export preset

8)You have the saved preset to use as you like which you will find in Skyrim data folder / SKSE / Plugins / CharGen / Presets.

See which mods are employed for the follower (Hair, eyes and more).
Like the process above, look at what eyes and hair she has
in order to use them in Racemu cursors

Looking at the follower you mentioned, it doesn't seem that the tail and ears are integrated

Thanks! I'll try that out. Your explanation was much more in depth then what other people have told me. They basically just said to copy and paste everything.

When importing you will want to add a mask to the neck seam or you will likely get a nasty, neck gap.

Uncheck the hair if it's in the way with the check boxes under Head Parts.

Select Mask Add and "paint" around the bottom of the neck using Mouse/Left Click. (doesn't matter if you get a double row, or at least I've not noticed it causing an issue)

Everything Green is Good, Red means your game can't find it. Eyes aren't normally an issue, you can add a mask to them so they don't try to import but you can adjust the eyes pretty easily in Racemenu. Ears you didn't want and Hair is again, easy to replace with what ever styles you have installed.

However, when I did this I was getting misaligned eyelashes and I couldn't resolve it.

Also, I don't think you really need to worry about the DDS file as this only imports the Face Geometry and I don't think there is a way to apply the tint in Racemenu.

Please correct me if I am wrong there.

Other than that, everything Lestat said

Thanks! Actually, one of the problems I was having was that the eyes kinda clipped through the eyelids, so your advice helps quite a bit. I think one of the big problems that I was having also is that I was trying to use a controller.

Usually the fault is some lack. Look good in the release, if the follower uses variants like High Poly head.
In case change your eyes with another type by choosing the most similar you find

Thanks for all the help! I kinda gave up though and just made my own face. I actually like the one I made better! Probably because I made it myself. I posted a pic of it in the RM presets thread if you want to see it.
