Outfit Studio Confusion.

Very used to the Outfit Studio when I convert and tweak Skyrim Outfits. Fallout 4? Not so much.

Here's the case: I've been trying to alter an outfit, but anytime I use the brush tools to alter the mesh on the outfit, I also seem to affect the Body.

Here's where I am confused: This project doesn't have a reference body, so I have no idea what the body is going to look like. I know where clipping occurs, and I can try to sort that, but because I end up changing the body as well as the outfit, I can't actually fix it. With Skyrim outfits it's very easy to tell where the clipping occurs and how to fix it because you don't change the body along with the outfit.

Any guides that can shed some light on converting/editing with Outfit Studio for Fallout 4?

Import reference body (can load slider presets to give you an idea of where it'll clip on that preset, until you go to edit the shapes again), adjust, remove reference body when done.

Majority of the time, it's only shoes/whole-body outfits that have the reference body included, or should anyway, or you'd have multiple bodies overlapping whenever you had more than one item equipped.

This should cover most of what you'll needa know, even if you ain't actually doin any converting.
