Medieval Dynasty

Game is in early access, and seems promising. I hope someone makes some mods for the game. Seem interesting since you can recruit a bunch of woman to work for you.

Medieval Dynasty really needs some attention from LL modders.

The whole process of obtaining a heir there should be made a bit more visually pleasing at the very least.

The game itself is like a scenario designed out of "live another life" mod from Skyrim. All what feels missing are just few more additional LL mods for Skyrim as well :).

Definitely some serious possibilities with this game once it comes out of early access. I think it is a little difficult to mod the unity bodies though, or at least that seems to be the consensus for other titles built with this engine. But I'm not a modder.

This game is made with UE4, unity is ain't this good. Go do your research. UE4 has been modded. We just need the tools.

Anyone been eyeballing this game for mods yet?

Not really. I have been able to learn to mod Crusader Kings from Paradox only.

A quick search tells that this game is made in Unreal Engine 4 and I think someone with a better understanding with UE4 could make something interesting, but personally, I haven't done anything in UE yet. Also since this is a 3d game, You might need skills or means to get some 3d assets and animations, and I am no good in either.

Don't bump my dudes, either your post will be erased, or worse, the thread will be closed if you do that.

There is not much Modding support for the game, as ever that means waiting for someone with a lot of skill to make something, preferably Modding tools, or some type of framework so the rest of the less skilled modders can step in, the best will be native Modding support and Modding tools from the devs, but I can't find anything of the sort in a quick google search, but maybe my googlefu is rusty.

So, (I figured I'd open with 'So' as it seems to be the way to attract attention to many given forum situations nowadays)

Well, hopefully this won't be considered as a 'bump' though that is something I'd like to see on the ladies in the villages when expecting... but that is for later!

The game itself needs love and care, so many things jar the player from immersion like doing so much with a hammer... like thatching a roof and laying bricks, or crafting stuff with completely empty hands, yeah, I know it's not Skyrim annnnddd, they didn't have gazillions of dollarrrs to work with, but, I feel that the situation could have been made much better with the inclusion of 'Futurproofing by Modding'

As far as I understand, there has been no thought for modding support, that to me is almost a bullet to any kind of serious fanbase following, as I think that really only AAA games can get away with a 'Play as is' status,

So, I guess, the question to ask is... how hard can it be to mod an unreal 4 engine game?

Cos Lord knows, those ladies need attention, as do the homes and structures... hell more crap to spread around the house, and let's start planting bushes and flowers, and trees without having to isolate a 'no-go' patch, and creating 'cutesy' hamlets without having to run through the rigmarole of only having the correct structures...

Alternative Starting.

Beyond the Valley Boundary's

Armour & Clothing.

Then we can get to the 'nasties' of what can happen to a lady hunter in the woods with amowous Bears, Badass Bandits and Wandy Wolves (forgive my Johnathon Woss impersonation)

A Chick (or studd if that's your thing) Ranch, hell, get them ladies working them fields lookin their best...

Yeah, I know it's a first post and all that, but that's a longer and very uninteresting story.

I've heard that the Unreal engine is difficult to mod.  Most of the games I've seen lately use the Unreal engine.  Must be why we aren't seeing any mods for them here.

It is a shame since even the "AAA" games aren't worth playing more than a few days without modder support.  Developers never put enough depth into their games.  They are usually pretty shallow.  The "gotta make a buck, get the game out before it's even done" mentality deprives the games of any real substance.  And, Skyrim, one of the best games ever developed (purely an accident by Bethesda), how many times can you complete the quests?

I would like to see a game made for gamers.  And by "gamers", I mean the original gamers, people who played DND and other role playing games, before PCs.  Make a virtual world where your character does whatever.  Have different quests they can take on.  Sell DLC's with epic quest lines.  I don't play any massive multiplayer games, but I think if you took one of them and made it single player, and moddable, you would have a game that would easily outlive Skyrim.

*sigh*  My girlfriend has denoted my super hero alias as "Tangent Man".  Oh well.

Done my research, worked on both engines.

Unity is able to do even more than UE4 is. UE4 has a pretty fixed graphics engine, while Unity is able to adapt based on assets you install, including for example, the Octane Render, which can do stuff UE4 wouldn't even dream of trying. So go back and do your own research, buddy. (This also applied when you wrote your post)

That is true. Developers basically have to build their own mod support.
It's much easier in Unity where the developer can check for asset files that the player installes into a specific folder.

Damn, from what I read we will need to wait and see if some godly modder add mod support into this game and make tools for them because otherwise it will be damn chore for modders to try to implement anything into this game. It has tons for potential for future mods that would expand this world and its pussybilities. Its a damn shame it does not appear that devs plan to add mod support. If they added it. Then they could make a money rain on them far into the future. Like Bethesda did with Skyrim or Fallout 4. With mods games live far longer than they would otherwise. Its at a point in time that I can't play Fallout 4 or Skyrim without mods any more. Its no longer enjoyable. Similar thing with Sims 4. Mods are what keeps games alive and devs rich.

just wanted to say that there are curently some mods for this game, and even a basic mod loader.
the mods i have been able to find are all on nexus, about 30 of them.
though they are mainly alternate start, bump start, and reshades.

i dont see any armor or character mods yet. still, id say its at least a start.

btw, the bump start mods are kinda MEH since you can customize your start in game and adjust alot of stats, even make yourself unkillable.
