Obryanov Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 The title explains most of the stuff, but basically, the femalehead.tri I anyhow modified and exported with BodySlide causes the game to crash as soon as it finishes loading a savefile. So far, the only modification I tested was modifying the base shape (without touching the .nif file) and modifying SkinnyMorph specifically. I am doing this with a custom race, but I don't think it should affect anything. It should be said that if I try to start a new game instead, it crashes when trying to load that race. Am I doing something wrong or is the export TRI function in BodySlide simply not meant for this? EDIT: simply importing FemaleHead.tri into BodySlide, then exporting it without making any changes results in a smaller file (from 814 ti 79X). Might be a problem there.

Before you exported the file did you mark the mesh on the right? And BS wants to export to a folder? BS version?

BS version? Mark the mesh? Yes, it wants to export to a folder, but it seems to accept only the folder the file comes from. It's v5.05.5.

I tried the following (separately) as well: -right clicking on the mesh on the right and exporting it as .tri (this one lets you save the file normally instead of choosing a folder) -copying weights from femalehead.nif before trying to export it either way -trying everything I've done so far with different races None of it helped.

Obryanov Posted September 25, 2020 Author Posted September 25, 2020 Well, I figured it out. The .tri file I was working with was the problem. If anyone encounters a similar problem, you can just import the .nif file into Outfit Studio, then .tri file, move the latter around so that they align as much as possible, set the .tri head as the reference, adapt the .nif head to its sliders, delete the .tri head and export the .nif head as both .nif and .tri once you're done with it.
