Jerky 3rd person camera when ascending or descending

Hi again, people!

It's not an issue per say, just more like a question I've got - I've noticed that when my character is ascending or descending on a steep slope, a 3rd person camera starts like "jumping".. makes this choppy, jerky movements trying to follow the character.. Is there any way to make it follow your character up and down smoothly no matter the slope angle?..
